Those phishing scams are purposely misspelled. It weeds out the people that are smart enough to know what it really is immediately, only people that don't notice/aren't suspicious about the grammatical errors will call in and those are the people most likely to actually fall for the scam. A smarter person might see an email with everything correctly spelled and call in to inquire further then figure it out in the call. That wastes the scammers time, so intentionally misspelling things saves them time. At least that's the theory.
+Eric Waller Let me take a wahck at it. I searched wordfind wehre no words existed that end in 'oah'. Waht begins to make sense if you think about it is that there are plenty of other common words wihch also start with 'wh'.
Here's why always online DRM makes no sense. Pirated versions of games don't connect online anyways, or connect to a custom private server separate from the dev's servers. It only hurts paying customers in the end, and it actually incentivizes piracy.
36:15 if anyone is curious, the reason those phishing emails are always misspelled is because they intentionally make small changes to it to avoid spam filters, which the most simple types work based on matching the known text of a spam email.
+Steven They should increase the input/volume off the mics. I need 30% volume to hear them on their RT podcasts whereas in every other video i have between 2% - 10%. 10% if I'm eating. It's a huge difference.
That Zquil ad that played before this episode was perfect, 5 seconds long, show me the product and get the hell out of my face haha. I don't need 30 second ads before RU-vid videos.
As someone who're always eaten mostly meat and starch (rice, bread, etc) I can assure you that my gut doesn't go wrong. It just takes getting used to. If I eat a lot of veggies suddenly, then I have digestion oddities going on, because I'm just not used to it.
I forgot about 'whoa'! as Chris was spelling it, I was spelling it the same way! if I type it woah, the red squiggly line under a misspelled word, pops up!
You guys should try and get Neil deGrasse Tyson on the Podcast! I saw him on the Joe Rogan Podcast and he was very entertaining as per usual, I'm sure he would have a field day answering all your science questions.
Very Important: When one urinates, it's not a completely solid stream. It splits into droplets on the way down due to gravity and air resistance. Unless you're peeing directly into the toilet from 1 inch above the water, you don't have to worry about bacteria "swimming" up.
Regarding the bike discussion, I saw a lady in a sedan cut off a motorcycle and get super pissed when he drives up alongside her and knocks on her window, flipping her off as he passes her
I love it when Burnie talks about being on the Amazing Race! It's like what Gus said, just knowing (well, not personally, for me) a person before they were on the Race is just... fascinatin
the answer is yes bacteria could climb up gavins spit stream into his mouth hole. bacteria moves way faster than you could imagine. if you were to drop a piece of bread on the floow and have it only touch for a millisecond there would be dozens if not hundreds of bacteria on it. so the 5 second rule is flawed.
Jork ya. it wouldn't climb up urine though. spit isn't traveling down very fast if you just has a spit stream from mouth to toilet. your piss is fast. lol that's a sentence i never thought i would say.
seriously so proud of all of you. I've been hit by a car 4 times on my bicycle and all of the vehicles have fled the scene. thank you for understanding at some fundamental level that we are part of traffic not some peripheral thing that is to be ignored! :>
helpful tip for the credit thing, only buy coffee or other cheap stuff with it. you can buy bigger items later but start there it will get you used to using the card.
My urethra closed up, good to know your thoughts are with me Burnie! Hahaha it's called a urethral stricture, they got in there with a little urethra sized chainsaw and cleared it up lol
referring to the end of the podcast with Darya Charusha it should be noted that as far as I can find in my 20 minute search this is the best instance of her speaking english this well. She is clearly a model that has focused on acting but also has some of the necessary talent; I can honestly say that I would like for her to be in more movies in general. She's easy on the eyes for sure.
I think the line that had to be made for the division is kinda cool. It'd get tedious and annoying after a while, but it's pretty immersive and it adds some atmosphere to the game.
on the topic of the whoa vs. woah, and if it was started by one person: that's exactly how 'alright' started. it was slang for a song title in the early 2000s, and it began a mass misspelling of 'all right', and it's since progressed to be accepted as a proper word.
"Whoa"/"woah" is just a style preference. I work for a publisher, and our editorial standard is still "Whoa!" We've had to establish similar standards for things like "woo-hoo"/"whoo-hoo" and the appropriate number of "A"s to place in a "Ta-daa!"...
