So good to see it in vertical mount. I m not planning to do one. The issue is the right fun is pushing hot air into ram and processor. And they gets more heat. Any idea how to keep it cool
I got this card about 2 weeks ago and I've been using it with the adapter that came in the box. I'm considering getting a cable like you have. Did you connect both 8 pin connectors to the PSU? Have you noticed any weird behaviour in performance or power draw with the third party cable? Great video btw
So yes I plugged in both 8 pins because It can't hurt, in terms of power draw issues, I haven't noticed anything as long as you don't OC too over the top. I think it's not a power issue it's just the silicone lottery not letting my card boost to certain level. Still good though.
I already have custom cable on my SF corair 750 PSU and have the same thing on my Zotac 2070 super not using two pin so all am doing is swapping card and it will work. What update on your cables?
Thanks! I didn't turn on just best buy notifications I just only payed attention and went to the ones when It said best buy since more often than not, when they restock one card of any ski 3060 ti - 3090 they all come in.
Yeah I noticed that only on certain games after using it. The only game I noticed it was rainbow six siege in the menu. At full load no whine. From my research and experience, they need to be quote on quote "burned in" and the whine should go away. It did go away from me.
@@GTStrane Yh bro r6 is bad for me aswell haha, I’ve had mine for 2 weeks now what would you recommend to do for burning in the gpu. The noise just gets to me coz I really can’t tell if it’s coil whine, just whistling lol
Hmmm I haven't heard whistling but it's pretty high pitched whine, maybe just run a benchmark stress test like Unigen Heaven for a night or leave siege open overnight. I just dealt with it and it went away since I can't hear it with headphones.
Yeah, this Founders cooler also works well since it blows some out the back, I was concerned that the blow through up the cooler would just blow into the motherboard behind it but since the front fans push that out the nice holes in vertical mount it's good
Yes your right, as long as you have good case airflow it's ok, also the vertical mount has a gaping hole on the part closest to the motherboard behind the gpu for airflow
