yeah. that's also MY part but my omen x27 manifested itself also as a part of this thoughts aaand laugh's about 144hz with it's plug and play with it's 240Hz with possible oc for 270hz and at best, real 0.7 ms on max overdrive in wqhd
@@casmithh Almost all games run at 4k 144hz now with the 4090, like even red dead redemption 2. A super demanding title runs at 4k 120 fps ultra settings. No dlss ofcourse, cause that doesn't count.
you can't run rdr2 4k 120 ultra with a 4090, the average would be like 90 fps. and rdr2 isn't even the most demanding, talk about like plague tale requiem or cyberpunk 2077
@@neihc1589 yeah, no cpu bottleneck at that resolution, if the cpu can get it 188 fps in 4k it can in 8k as well, sometimes there are other limitations where the gpu doesn't need full 450w and is bottlenecked by other gpu stuff, like memory and memory speed, bandwith
You know, my comment might be a very bad and unclear explanation, but the best way for you to learn how bottlenecks work, put a 4090 in a slow pc, see how it works at all resolutions, then tell me how the 4090 is already at it's peak in this video from zwormsz
bro there is no bottleneck in 4k xD if you want to see bottleneck you test it in 720p or 1080p low lol ryzen 1600 2600 3600 and 5600 have same fps at 4k because in high resolution it's the gpu that limits lol you'll see gpu being bottleneck in 4k in at least 3 generations of gpus if you get 20-30 more fps it's because you play in 1080p, and i don't know if you're a professional and use your gpu accordingly but if not buying a 4090 to play in 1080p is the dumbest thing ever but now since you have a 4090 i assume that you at least have a 4k monitor but you won't see fps difference between your 5900x and 7600x due to cpu, probably the main difference you see is because of ddr5 but still then it depends on what you got if you got some shit 4800Mhz c40 vs that 500$ kit of 6400 c32 c32... anyway have a good day mate
I didn't even get into PC stuff until a few years back but man I remember when GPUs being able to hit a constant 60+ in 1440p was a huge deal. Now we're reaching cards being able to do 8K 60 FPS and it's wild to see.
Honestly we should not push beyond 4k textures. There is alot more potential in 4k textures. 8k/16k textures are a waste. Same thing with anything higher then 60/120FPS.
@@xMaFiaKinGz 60fps what are you talking about thats like minimum playable 😂 I’m going to keep upgrading until we see least 8k Ultra wide 240hz in AAA titles
yeah and take your time driving slowly (if you plug in a controller you can treat the trigger like a gas pedal and apply medium pressure) you actually experience the surroundings and people on a whole new level this way rather than just rushing from location to location.
You've been having fun with this one. I can't blame you though, must be a great feeling playing all these titles at 4K-8K with incredibly impressive results.
@@mafin_official down-sampling 8k to 4k is sharper then native 4k since it doesn't have to guess as much which color what pixel should have. But tbh if you dont have a 55"+ monitor at 1m distance it is really not worth
Em 2017 o Linus tech juntou quatro NVIDIA Quadro P5000 e só conseguiu rodar games a 2-4 fps em 16k. 5 anos depois, games jogavéis em 16k se tornou algo possível com uma única placa, isto é o futuro senhores
8k gaming is finally made possible by RTX4090 GPU. It was 5years since where we saw people did dual 1080ti in SLI to attempt 8k gaming on the first time. And the result was not promising like 30-40ish fps on low. 4090 is insanely powerful beast
I wish SLI worked better than it did, seems like such a baller solution to use two power supplies and run multiple of the most powerful GPU's available but we all know how that ended :(
People still can't understand the madness that is a graphics card deliver more than 1 FPS at 16k resolution (15360x8640p) A few years ago we had difficulties playing at 30 FPS in 1080p resolution... For you to understand, to run a game at 16k it's like your video card is delivering 64 monitors at 1080p or 16 monitors 4k. This is insane! In 2017 Linus tried to run some games in 16k using 16 4k monitors and 4 nvidia Quadro P5000 cards! At the time each of them cost $2499.00. 5 years later only 1 GPU can deliver more! What will we have in the next 5 years??
I think for 16k to become a realistic possibility, were going to need GPUs well above 24GBs of VRAM most like, upwards into the 30-50 GB range to be even remotely possible.
it's not anymore this GPU can run 8k 60+ fps on this game but on newer games like cyberpunk it can't even get 4k 60+ on relatively high settings i'm not gonna include starfield :)
8k redux curious how that runs on this monster that would really push this card its not really hard to push this normal like this and i wanna see control that game is legendary just like this for bad optimization
Wow awesome, thats just crazy compare to my pc that could barely run gta v literally under 20fps on lowest settings no shadow, at 600p res, stuttery experience, could barely load textures… yet somehow i manage to play the game halfway of the main story before killing it
U cant rly tell the dif between 4k and 1080p by watching it, but 16k.. Damn, this shit goes hard even thru my 1080p after youtube bitrate degradation 🥶💀
"Its applying MSAA to every blade of grass" Thats not how MSAA works, its actually drawing 8 frames internally and using a mix of all of them to remove aliasing. Its not applying it to any individual object at all
@@zWORMzGaming yeah but relatively speaking it isn't. It's the exact same percentage reduction as youd expect anyway, because it's rendering out 8 of the already super intensive framea
that's not what MSAA does at all. MSAA only multi samples in pixels with geometry edges. A pixel fully covered by a single triangle will be sampled normally, just once. It follows that it's so intensive in grass because the immense number of grass blades obviously have a ton of edges compared to for example the road, and therefore MSAA is applied to a lot more pixels. Saying "it's applying MSAA to every blade of grass" is EXACTLY correct.
what monitor do you use? i know its 32 inches but i also hope its 4k, at least 144hz so that you can fully enjoy the gpu! and also is the 4090 yours or did nvdia send you one for a period of time ?
You finally did it man and you delivered. I am interested in VR headsets and was thinking how many years it will take for a graphics card to power a 16K VR headset (that I think is enough resolution for crystal clear image quality resembling reality). This means that 5090 will be the card that makes VR mainstream. We already have a 12k VR headset from Pimax (I have 4k one and still image quality looks like a 480p video). So 2 more years and we have a real VR experience. I now have my answer and Will buy the headset and card after 2 years. Thank you so much man. Great job.
I'm excited for the 4050 and 4060, if the jump between the 4090 and 3090 is the same for 3050 and 3060 the 4050 and 4060 will be insanely strong for their price points.
4090ti is rumored to have around 18300 CUDA cores compared to this one’s 16384 so it’s not much of an increase when you think about the fact that the 3090ti had 10000 CUDA cores. That’s not including the raytracing and other cores that are included (I don’t know what other cores are included besides CUDA and RT) maybe tensor or something
Well not really, in a game where a 3090 gives you 4K 30fps, a 4090 would give you 4K 50-60fps or 8K 25-30fps. But yeah, I'm really excited for RDNA3 too, I hope the price will be somewhat similar to RDNA2 and not like 1000 bucks for a 7800xt
@@maaax1173 I agree. Many of us will opt for an AMD card since Nvidia's taken it way too far with their pricing. Besides, not many of us need that much horsepower in our systems.
I saw that you used Soft shadows set to Soft instead of PCSS from NVIDIA which look more realistic and are more demanding. Awesome video as always anyways!

Idc with these visuals at 16k I don't care if it drops to 18 fps in Jack's hill overall playing the game would be super duper enjoyable to me it's all about that sharpness xD who cares about the rare fps drops to 18 and 13. At worst case scenario drop it to mid high and will never fall from mid 20 fps. This card is something else wow xD. Nvidia went straight for the 90 model interesting that's why that crazy diffence from the 3090ti etc.
4k, 8k, and 16k resolution test Me: ok i am going to watch it at 720p as 1080p is the highest on the mobile and 720p is the only one that my internet speed supports and I am using my phone. 😂😂.
This was Disappointment . . . i thought 8x Msaa with 4k should have given 120fps or atleast above 100. So much money and can't even maintain a 100fps on a game that's almost a Decade OLD not lame low end 27 Fps . . . just pathetic
