Rub Rail Repair 

Don't use a dust mask for solvent fumes. You need a solvent mask. The "melting" is called "annealing".

Will this work on a rub rail that has more of a dent in it as well? Will the solvent work to “reform it” or melt it back into shape?

Is this technique works on a white rub rail or it would affect the color cause of the solvent?

Could you use acetone rather than 202 solvent?
