Ruby Franke’s Husband Questioned By Cops After Kids Found Bound in Duct Tape

After two of Ruby Franke’s children were found bruised and covered with duct tape, her husband, Kevin Franke, was questioned by Utah police. In his interview on August 30, 2023, Kevin Franke said he trusted Jodi Hildebrandt and claimed she was a very honest and truthful person. When police told him what had happened to his children, he said “this sounds like a made up story” and it sounded like “a horror movie.”

Was about to comment the same thing, but scrolled to see if someone beat me. So glad I’m not just being pessimistic because I HATE cases like this but yeah… I think even the police interviewing him were just waiting for him to show emotion to the state of his kids but this guy… He asks after their tormentor and double downs on loving her… I get that that’s somewhat fair, 20 years isn’t something people do nowadays but my goodness, the little emotional distress he showed in regards to the kids seemed forced and that honestly has me thinking he needs to be rocking cuffs as well…

Jodie was a part of the agreement they came to for Kevin to banish himself for his bad behavior. There is no doubt that Jodie has manipulated many people in much the same way she did to him. Don’t let this POS fool anyone! I’ve been SCREAMING about this family for like 6 or 7 years and Kevin is not innocent. Yes, the abuse obviously got worse once Ruby got in with Jodi, but make no mistake… Both Ruby AND Kevin used starvation as “punishment” for many years and even posted it to RU-vid. He was there when they were hungry, he was there when beds were taken from them for months, he was there when Chad was sent to a labor camp for “rebellious kids”. He echoed the same words about the children living “in distortion”, and needing to save their souls from “evil”. He needs to be charged too! He’s showing his true colors even since the arrests by threatening legal action against his own children! I hope and pray the investigation is still ongoing and he will be arrested soon. I also hope they’re investigating Ruby’s siblings and parents as well because her sisters used to join her in “parenting” videos on Facebook, saying the same damn things. Abhorrent people, all of them.

I haven't watch that much of them but the few episodes I saw it was very clear how weird and off they were as parents. I started watching them shortly before they sent Chad off to that torture camp. I did spot watching through their channel and was shocked about the mother's behaviour. It was obvious the kids were 90% of the time uncomfortable. The advertisements they had to participate in like poor Russel had to promote pull up diapers pretending he still wets his bed. The teen girls had to share their experiences of their first periods to promote sanitary wear. They were forced to play instruments. She would force them to perform infront of others. You could see they hated it and they all gave up their lessons because of Ruby. I saw all that unfold in the short time I watched them and that was enough to put me off and feel sorry for her children. I was sadden but not surprised when all this unfolded. Her sister Bonnie is just as strange and money hungry. Can't stand watching or listening to her. All these Mormon vloggers are weird. I refuse to watch family vloggers where children are involved.

Uh, yeah, no. Just because YOU can't think of other reasons why he may not have custody of kids, doesn't mean there aren't any. Let's try logic for a moment. He is also a victim. He's scared. He's confused. He's been gaslit since Jodi came into his family's lives. He's broken and fragile and not able to take his kids until he's stable. My guess is that he's going through a lengthy process set forth by the Court to heal and relearn how to be a parent. Jodi had just as much a hold on him as she did Ruby. Jodi is a narcissist, a sadist, and malignant. She is a cult leader. This family, like others that were directed towards Jodi's practice, has to be deprogrammed then reprogrammed. Thanks, LDS church. He also questioned why his eldest daughter wasn’t being arrested for “burglarizing” the family home when she went in to gather items like journals and such, likely evidence that she was determined to preserve before her dad or mother could destroy it, and he sees that as an affront and malicious activity. My nepthew lives with me and in 15 years my brothers never asked how he is... he showed up a month ago for the furst time in 10 years with 200. I was like thanks I just spent 400 on school uniform. Some fathers are an absolute was of space. My dad worked 3 jobs didnt have much but one thing I remember is he was always there for us at the start and end of every finish line. Kids remember this I absolutely have the upmost respect for those parents grandparents care givers doing it alone its hard work. He’s just as guilty, there’s too many videos of her thinking it’s ok withholding food and using that as a punishment and he was fine with that. Him standing by is just as bad.

If this father is telling the truth: he doesn't live with his 6 children. He hasn't seen them in about 2 years and he never asks about how they are doing. At the very least, he is a terrible father even if he didn't abuse them himself. If he lived with them and cared about them they wouldn't be in that situation. He's just as guilty in my opinion.

I disagree. He is pretty upset when the police are out of the room. And in shock - disassociated. Imagine the shock of hearing all this at once after being out of the picture, I am not saying he is a responsible father or husband, just the facts. He has filed for divorce and has made many attempts to get his kids back since all this came to light
