I work in call center too and I think she just revealed a few things most call centers would keep confidential. This just made my day. Now, when's MTV gonna call me? LOL.
While working in a call center, I had a woman call in and during the course of conversation, she asked me "Where are you located?". I told her "My center is located in Niagara Falls, NY. We're actually about 3 blocks from the falls." She said "Wow! How is it? I've always wanted to see the falls." And I told her about them and things you could do there and she asks "So, when do they turn the falls off?". I was so confused. I said "Do you mean the lights?". She said "Wow! They have lights? I mean when do they turn the falls off. The water part.". I was like "...they don't...".
Andrew Lewis She meant it more like she thought it was a faucet and that they turned it off every night. I am a Native of Buffalo, NY, born and raised. I still live here and yes, the Army came in and stopped the falls to study the effects of erosion on the bedrock in 1969. However, they didn't stop the falls last year. They announced that they are planning to stop it in the next 5-7 years. And when I had spoken to that woman back in 2006, they had just stopped it the one time and I didn't hear of any plans to stop it at that point.
Angelia Salah : That’s Amazing 😂 Thanks for the story! I Live for ridiculous stories like yours! Like the Niagara Falls are a water park attraction 😂 I Love it!
I think it should be mandatory for everyone to work at least one call center job in their life. When you know what they deal with everyday, it greatly changes your perspective on life.
Clay McDonald or just service based jobs. I've done retail, restaurant and now I'm in housekeeping and it is not easy some days! It makes you appreciate the behind the scenes stuff more.
She’s so cute and ... just unbelievably likable! I have never seen an interview that I don’t just Love (no pun intended) bc she is so normal and relatable!! I Love when an underdog’s Dreams come true! And how lucky are we?! We get to watch it! ✌🏼❤️💋
I worked for a call center many years ago (I worked for AARP MediCareRx plan; part D of MediCare; the prescription drug plan or PDP) and I had a love/hate relationship with it. That was when I originally got my license to sell insurance. I was what they called a SME (pronounced "smee" like Hook's right hand man from Peter Pan), which is short for "Subject Matter Expect" and I was a pod supervisor (a pod is a bank of phones with up to 10 people. While enrolling people into the plan over the phone, you'd have to read this 2 page (front and back) disclaimer and have them agree to it while you record the conversation. I used to be able to read the entire disclaimer from memory while notating the account. I would have people walk by and just stop and watch me. Unfortunately, my memory and multitasking skills are not that good anymore.
She''s so cute! She seems like a really cool person to sit hang with and laugh with... (Obviously I don't know her from "Adam", but I'm just sayin' I get the impression that she'd be a really cool friend to have...)
Ummm I'm pretty sure she was actually on a tv show where they challenged a bunch of people and who ever won the competition got the job..I think this story is bullshit
