Let's Go!!! The price of One Piece have been insane! Card prices are increasing nearly 10% weekly. First edition OP01 Boxes are going for $1200-$1500 USD a box and even 2nd wave reprint $400.00 USD a box. The game is insanely fun. The art style are from the show that has been out of 25 years! so very wide range of art style. I'm new to TCG in general so loving all the tidbits comparing it to other TCG. Should check out the ST10 starter deck insanely playable and one of their best product for of the year! Also you hit the 3rd chase card in the set with the Katakuri.

There are so many Charlotte cards because Japanese names are ordered last name first and the character Big MOM has a LOT of kids (she even has a set of decouplets)

Some info on what you weren’t sure on. English packs have 2 rare slots. 1 can be taken by either a Super Rare, Secret Rare, or Alt Art. The last card is called Don and is the resource for the game. The foil one you got on pack 2 is a special alt art of the Don and is 1 per box. This changes in op4 where they stopped putting the base Don in every pack but a box now has 2 of the special AA Don. Leaders (the L rarity) can be in an Uncommon slot. And that first SEC (Charlotte Katakuri) you pulled is the Alt art of a Secret Rare from the set so one of the more sought after ones. The Wanted poster card near the end is a Special AA, hence the SP. They are alt arts of cards from previous sets and highly sought after. The biggest hit in a set is called the Manga AA. It’s an alt art with a special background that has a panel from the manga. It’s 1 per multiple cases. Didn’t pull that one unfortunately. They are multiple hundreds of dollars. Can go as high as over $1k. Those 2 boxes were pretty good.

I came from MTG to One Piece and Im so glad you're dipping a toe in. The card quality, the artwork is excellent. The game itself is actually good fun, and the mechanics are true to the lore of the story. Definitely a home run, wizards could learn a LOT from this

Your deck in this game is built around your leader card and color. It takes 6 attacks (usually) on the opposing leader to win. But.. as long as you have the don resourse, you can play up to 5 character cards in front of your leader to defend your side of the board. Some are "blockers" that require you to attack it first. Some of the actions the cards have kind of reflect the abilities they have in the show. Example: Law with his shambles move where he can teleport and swap characters.

I just started to get into one piece (I'm at impel down, if anyone cares) and that's what's really got me intruiged by the tcg. The art is great and the manga cards are an awesome chase

Official Bandai LGS's aren't even allowed to sell sealed boxes! They have to razor the plastic before they pass it over the counter. Crazy stuff.

Thanks for doing this! As a long time MTG player, I did not expect to enjoy One Piece as much as I have, but its been a fun experience. I know CCGs can be a money pit, but think people should TRY to play both. Like MTG, One Piece offers pre-made decks that come with everything you need to play.

The card shop owner I pre order my stuff from told me that after years of playing pokemon and yugioh he found one piece to be the most fun of all 3. That’s why the prices are high, cause collectors love the art and some players want to make their deck look as cool as possible lol. And yeah lots of 10s out there tbh , speaks on the quality of the cards tho. Dope video man , sick hits !

There are generally two or three hits a box for One Piece, outside of the hidden insert cards like the Wanted poster at the end.

My LGS had a opening party… every table was full of One Piece Collectors. When the event started only about half or so stayed. The fandom is definitely out here collecting for fun.

Yes, I instantly got the Marvel Overpower card game look to the cards and the numbers on the cards and font and art. Very easy to read. I loved OverPower

Been enjoying playing the OPTCG a bit and opening a couple boxes. The EV is great and I'm lucky to live near a large LGS that has had some supply so I've gotten them at msrp. Both boxes were fire, it was fun to watch someone who doesn't know about the IP crack these. Great video.

Rudy, you have been a source for this house hold. Playing OP since day 1 release..I too miss the boat due to track record. However, when I can I snap up what I find, everything it pays off! I’m praying this doesn’t pull a FoW on me, but this has been amazing so far!

I bought 4 of the for 1st set booster boxes for $150 AUD a piece, I was kinda worried, I only deal with pokemon, ya know a safe bet to hold, 5 or 6 months later these pupies are going for $550 to $600 AUD minimum, I'm curious as I know nothing about these except I have 4 of the 1st set, should I hold or will these drop ? Like is it going to have another print or something ? Any advice would be good :)

Just bought 2 OP03 and 2 OP04 boxes a week ago, they came in yesterday and couldn't stop myself from opening all of them haha. Had to go back and order 1 more of each so I could keep something sealed for my collection. Always did pokemon in the past and tried Flesh and Blood. But with One Piece, it's as if something clicked again and I started enjoyng collecting and opening as much as I did 10 years ago with pokemon Edit: I was always into anime but One Piece was one I kinda didn't wanna start cause it was even way longer than lets say Naruto, but after the Netflix show I just binge watched the whole anime in 2 months cause I enjoyed it so much. Actually made me a big fan of the series and wanting to start collecting these cards!

Great job on this opening Rudy. You hit some super fun cards. This game is really good and similar to Hearthstone. Easy to learn and hard to master. It has some balance issues and tournament exclusive promos, but apart from that 10/10. Also extremely collectible and fun to crack.

My question is, what’s stopping Bandai from doing the same thing they did to their Dragonball Z cards? DBZ was also super popular when it came out but now no one really talks about it. Their card quality of the DBZ cards is top notch as well.

Good pulls! The hype for this game isn't going anywhere, especially with OP-05 coming out now and OP-06 on the horizon. I watched these cards dip and spring back up passed their old highs.
