The part where he kicked it through the goal from his hands it’s called a drop goal the ball needs to make contact with the ground before it can be kicked through the upper goal posts. Also if a team score four try’s or touch downs they get bonus points which can be essential at the end of the tournament if a team only wins 4/5 games could decide the championship. France were last years grand slam champions to get a grand slam means you win all 5 games.

I remember many years ago that NFL scouts were taking on English Rugby Union players as kickers. I don't know if there any over there these days. All the pro Rugby club sides have top class kickers here; you can't afford not to. Although the money is in NFL players used to Rugby must find the role a bit limiting in NFL. In rugby you can score 2 points for conversion kicks after tries, plus 3 points for penalty kicks and also 3 points for 'drop goals' as at 6:57. There is an English guy, Christian Wade, a very prolific and fast try scorer who went to the States in 2019 and signed as a running back for the Buffalo Bills. Im Irish and know two guys who got scholarships in america for being a kicker in american football. Were brought up kicking in our sports all our lives so comes more natural compared to you guys (gaelic, soccer etc are biggest here rather than basketball and american football)
