New subscriber ... stumbled across your channel looking for assault bike workouts to condition myself now, in the off-season for (ice) hockey here in Canada and that first workout is perfect. Because in hockey your on the ice for 1 minute and then resting on the bench for 2 minutes. But, in that 1 minute you're on the ice it's FULL-ON sprinting for that full minute. So yeah this is great. I don't know much about rugby, though my Dad was the captain of his high school rugby team back in the 40s in England. But I think cross training in other sports during off-season is also a great way to condition yourself. Thanks for the information and great workout. I'll give it a shot when I'm next in the gym. (There is a funny video on YT channel "AwakenWithJP" that is hilarious to watch talking about the assault bike: "If you're looking for a bike that will increase your fitness and make you feel worse while it's happening, then use the assault bike" and "if, after you finish your (assault bike) workout, and you don't have PTSD, then you didn't do it right!")

Just a heads up… the 4 min: 20 sec on 10 sec off will have you hearing colors and having conversations with your ancestors. 😵‍💫💀👼

Only recently had access to an assault bike and been doing the tabata for last couple of weeks, never look forward to it and felt like puking the first couple of goes at it but already seeing improved HRV and resting heart rate results, thanks for the other workouts, will definitely mix these up, going to be brutal..... The nearest I've come to post assault bike feeling is boxing sparring, same mix of upper and lower exertion seems to create a very different stress on the body than most other forms of cardio.

Today... I tried workout #7.... It was hard and effort.... I got tired from workout.... I will tried the others between time to time 💪💪💪

Not solely an air bike workout, but throwing this out for anybody reading: •2 minutes air bike •2 minutes rest •2 minutes rower •2 minutes rest •2 minutes SkiErg •2 minutes rest •Repeat for a total of 3 rounds Perfect for a stand alone recovery/cardio day or after core/abs work to light up the body.

@@aguuug5139 You don’t go 100% all out sprint for 2 straight minutes, because then that’s not really a sprint. I’d say go for a solid 85% pace since 2 minutes are longer intervals and it’s better to find a realistic, but challenging pace that makes you have to dig deep to finish each 2 minute interval. If your machines keep track of your distance moved/traveled, try to increase it every round. That way your third and final round is your most difficult

Do you believe this would be beneficial for boxing? I am trying to increase my endurance but can’t do sprints due to my foot (broke it years ago and now high impact over time hurts)

Certainly so long as shoulders recover enough that they aren't fatigued for your boxing sessions RR

wait til u guys try the half mile..it’s exactly how it sounds.Half mike as fast as possible for time..warning it is very very killer..avg time is about 1:03

I do intervals on the assault bike 30 src hard, 60 easy x10. The bike says I only burn about 100 cals but I'm full on. Is this accurate?

Probably not but don't worry about calories just ensure you get more work done each time!
