I ordered the exercise bike on January 7th and it arrived on February 12th. ru-vid.comUgkxzg0clhbtRf2gGxPkVETFKJJKGqdsorQu The box must have been tossed around quite a bit because one whole side of the styrofoam was destroyed, and the other side foam was cracked. The Two zip ties holding the handlebars had broken loose and handlebars were loose in the box. There are two small holes in the foam on the right side of the handlebars, I guess from rolling around inside the box. Assembly was straight forward and easy. I am 6 ft 5 in 220 lb and the handlebars and seating positions fully adjustable and work great, I'm getting full leg extension. The noise level is very, very low and acceptable. The adjustment knob for the pressure on the flywheel works well also. The exercise bike is very well made, sturdy and easy move around. This is my first exercise bike and will keep me in shape over the winter. Update 3/19/21: when removing the sticker from the wheel, make sure you remove any sticker glue also. I thought mine was clean but I was getting a slight noise from the glue. Once cleaned off, its super quite. Also the monitor didn't work, tracked it down to the pickup device wasn't in the hole. Once I moved in the hole, it works fine. Do NOT put it in until it touches or it will damage the pickup.
Buy used. Nothing looses value faster than gym equipment. I've fitted out 16x16 room for $1000, with high end used equipment. Lots of stuff was free because people couldn't sell it and were moving didn't want pay to take it with them.
Yeh I was in the process of ordering a Rogue Echo yesterday but refused to pay over $300 they have for shipping…Ended up picking up a Pure Design AB8 from Southside Fitness 20mins from home, AUD $1039 reduced from $1499 at the moment…tried it in store and it was absolutely fine…Looks similar to this Pro-X too…
I’m buying an air bike in a couple months so I would really appreciate a new roundup of the best/most popular ones. Echo, Blitz, Assault ProX seem to be the ones most talked about.
Almost bought one a few weeks ago, but couldn't find any reviews. Even emailed the company, and they couldn't point me to any review videos or anything. So this may be the only review video out there right now.
Great review. Prices have changed since this review came out, which sucks! Rogue is actually cheaper now. Would love to see a compare to all other bike again! Thanks for what y’all do.
Prices have changed before when these reviews have gone out so could be a mistake on ggr but also could be the ole switcheroo. Kind of funny in a way, the echo keeps the slot because of the price point
I’ll be picking this one up once my assault classic craps out. I bought it used and it has some rusting going on. I wipe down sweat after each use and apply 3 in 1 oil to rusted spots but eventually the frame will break
Great review. There is an air shield for this model. I have one. The unit is $40 dollars. Also, I purchased mine right around Thanksgiving 2023. The price was almost a steal!! Assault Fitness has raised the prices!!! I will point out that if you have a newer model phone, the app is not compatible. Supposedly, AF is addressing this issue.
Great review! Assault Bike Pro-X is now $900. Rogue Echo 3.0 is $845. How important is fan size to the overall workout experience? It's not discussed very much. It's even difficult to get fan diameter measurements for some bikes.
hi COOP!!! Love the channel. Thanks for the thorough reviews and great homegym ideas. Everything is so well thought out and considered. And your vids are looking properly aesthetic now. Nice one!
Thanks Coop. Great review. Haven't tried the new one but my favorite is the Fringe Sport Raptor. I bought it on sale and I think at the time it was the best value for everything that you get. Plus, I really like the company itself. Everyone I have worked with on that side was very friendly.
Hey Coop - I already have a fully decked out double-car garage gym and still I eagerly await each video. Thanks for putting out such great content regularly! I also love Future. That and my garage gym is my morning ritual.
I would love to see a new roundup as I'm in the market to replace my very old Airdyne. Also, where are you finding this for $800? On their website and on RF, they are listed at $899.
Coop I have really had my heart set on the Rogue Echo but my wife is 5’1” and I’ve heard the echo is too big for her. Would this assault pro X be better for smaller people under 5’1”? If so, I’m leaning towards the assault in case she wants to use it. Too much money to drop on a bike that only I can use. Thanks!
What up Coop! So I'm going to buy a bike rn and I cross referenced the prices between Rogues Echo bike and this assault bike. $845 for the echo and assaultbike pros price was brought up to $899. I'm assuming you'd suggest that I go for the echo since its cheaper, but I'd love you to confirm that. Thanks again for the great content
Great video! My husband and I plan to buy a bike for our home gym and the problem is that I would prefer moving arms and he would go for the opposite. Do any of the machines have both? Thanks
Haven’t purchased an assault bike yet, but I want to add one to my garage gym. Looking forward to this bike. Thanks Coop for comparing it to the Rogue bike. I also appreciate your transparency. Be safe, brother.
could you do a review test for LISS training on an assault bike to show if its possible and practical to use these for zone 2 training? Really curious to see if this would be a solid piece of equipment that can be used for both zone 2 training and HIIT or if its just to taxing for it to be practical and you really need more than one piece of cardio equipment to meet this type of training needs
Hi Coop, thank you for always giving us your honest take on all the equipment. What is your take with the Torque Fitness Stealth Air Bike compared to the Assault Pro-X and Rogue Echo. I'm a personal trainer looking to open my own studio and looking to have a reliable bike that men, women, and teenagers could use. Thank You!
I know why Coop prefers a belt drive bike. However, he is incorrect in saying that there is still a reason cars still have belts because the serpentine belt is being phased out in favor of lubed timing chains. That said, traditional 5/6 gear transmissions are being phased out in favor of a single geared CVT belted transmission. Yes, chains can slip off their gear on a bike, something that a belt drive is less likely to do. For me, the fact that a properly lubed chain drive can last forever compared to a belt that can wear out or rot is enough for me to look for a chain instead. Noise isn't a concern for me in my home exercise room because I'll probably have either music playing or the TV on.
Compare this and the echo bike. Also, does a single stage versus dual stage belt drive make a difference. Lastly, at the top end, which is hard for the toughest HIIT high output workout.
One thing to note I bought an echo bike about a year or so ago and for some reason they offer free shipping but if you add any accessories they charge shipping.
Loved this video!!!! I am definitely shopping around for an air bike but would love to get your take on how you would compare this to the Bells Of Steel Blitz Bike (they raised the price of the BoS so I'm still down to take that trip to Canada with you to knock some heads )!?!? Also, I think a new best air bike round up video is in order...PLEASE!!!!!!
Had the older smaller wheel Schwinn belt drive and now the AD7. Man I miss the small wheel bike. Just cannot seem to get comfortable on this AD7. Low intensity cardio on this is not good at all
@@ddkim619 I didn’t get to buy it on Black Friday. So I paid retail. But the bike is 100% worth it. I used to run for cardio like 10yrs ago and sometimes my knees would hurt, and usually I couldn’t go hard until the end becuase I’d be so out of it rolling around dying. But with this bike I can go hard whenever I want and get off and roll around and die right there in my home haha. I Haven’t had any knee issues so far. Since I’m still fresh into Getting back into shape I’ve been doing the 10-20 and 20-10 interval program it has set. One right away in the morning when I wake up one when I get home after work and one before bed. It sucks while doing it, but so far I feel overall better during the days.
@@willboler5078 I love it. I’ve never tried a chain one. So idk how they compare noise wise. But this one seems quiet. I can only hear the fan nothing else. Definitely wish I would’ve known about these bikes Along time ago. I think they’re a much better cardio workout compared to bicycle or just running. I used to run for cardio like 10 years ago and back then it messed up my knees after awhile. My knees haven’t felt bad yet on this bike. Plus I can go hard as I want whenever I want. I never was able to do that running until I was on my last stretch home and then I was able to flop on the ground dying haha. But this bike I can go hard whenever and flop over and die right in my own home. Everyone’s different but I just want to make you aware. Becuase it’s been so long for me for doing cardio workout I went hard right away when I bought the bike. After about a week I started having heart palpitations randomly, scared the crap out of me I thought I was going to have a heart attack, went to the doctor and they said it was becuase of all my laziness over the years and then suddenly training all crazy. But I’d definitely take it easy and build yourself up to going crazy.
What Assault-like bikes [I dislike ellipticals and recumbent bikes] exist without a fan so you don't need a wind guard? Which are the best rated? What are the least expensive? or lightest?
What did you end up doing? Did you buy one? If so, was it without testing one out? Sorry for so many questions, I’m just curious because I’m in the market for an air bike and have never used one
Coop, your reviews are usually spot on.......However, your take on the monitor is misleading! The elite monitor is absolute GARBAGE! It doesn't do the one thing that you want from a fan bike.......the time stops running after 10 seconds of not pedalling! Even the original air bike runs for 5 minutes after your last pedal! Most people use these bikes in a metcon or in different variable work/rest workouts which this bike makes it impossible to use the bike timer. Oh, and trying to program a workout using the monitor is an absolute joke! You know better! I have complained to Assault about this one huge flaw in their bikes for years now and they still haven't fixed it. People!!! Buy a Rogue echo bike, don't waste your money on this nonsense! It's worth the extra $45! Their bike monitor runs for 5 minutes after your last pedal, like it should and they listen to the feedback from us to make adjustments to their products to make them even better!
Can anybody comment on the minimum height requirement of this bike? I’ve read the Rogue Echo isn’t good for short people so I’m looking for a bike that is since I’m using it in a commercial setting.
@@ddkim619 I still haven’t decided but will probably go with the echo bike. Everyone says they are low maintenance and will last a very long time. $650?! Man, what a steal!
Coop, Assault does make a metal windguard for the Assault Bike pro. I know because we have one on the latest model. If the new ProX is schematically the same as the Chain Drive Pro, then I imagine the same windguard would work on it.
