@@Leifr952 disclaimer: rugby players think you should shut up about calling the 9th most popular sport in the world minority sport, refusing to grow a pair of balls because you dont want dumped, watch the video instead of telling everyone it's shite and go back to launching yourself on the ground and pretending you broke your neck
Funny those rugby fans who wants to make rugby a violent game... It's amazing, beautiful and sometimes violent, but violence is not the base of rugby...
@@DAVIDdavid-pz8wb as a player i like those rules, now you need technique and not just size to make a tackle and its pretty clearn bow who is a pussy and who's not
+Gaius Caerulius Verus Allectus Football is all about the money to the top 0.01% of players, lots of people say that football is only about the money but forget about the fans and the smaller clubs who are struggling to survive.
Rugby. No need for shoulder pads, helmets and steroids. The players for Rugby are 3x more powerful than American footballers. Who take 1 hit and fall down even with protection.
Dude I know what you mean but I disagreed with the steroids part... Actually I think most of the guys that are professional are into roids that been said it doesn't take credit that they worked their ass off to be were they are
Let's put it this way, would you rather watch 90 minutes of kicking a ball up and down a pitch and every once and a while a goal is scored, like one or two. Or would you rather watch 80 minutes of mauling, scrummaging, rucking, tackling and countless amounts of penalties, tries, drop goals and some sin binning going on also?
***** I am actually a massive rugby fan, and I'm hardly a "little girl" since I did play rugby myself for a short period of time.... And it's "You're" not "youre"
+AnneMarie Keane You and the other guy(viyath) are perfect examples of why rugby is such a poor sport. It's followed by homophobic people and women (and men) who just like the brainless macho side. I doubt you know anything about any sport ;)
Stu O Connell Excuse me, I am not homophobic and I don't even know where you got that information from. I'm very confused to why the two of you commenting are thinking that I am homophobic when I am talking about the differences between the two sports... all I am saying is that the sports differences and how rugby has more in the game than football and if you think that's being homophobic and my opinion is the reason why rugby is a poor sport, then you need a reality check. How is there a "brainless macho side"? Half of the rugby players on the Ireland squad have degrees in teaching and business and actually went to college and got degrees in things other than sport unlike the majority of footballers who go to college to play football. And as a matter of fact, I play GAA (Gaelic football and camogie), rugby, basketball and even represented Ireland in boxing so if you think that I'm just some "clueless girl that knows nothing" Then you need to shut up because I do know what I am talking about and I don't need someone like you or anyone telling me I know nothing about a sport (or sports) that I play and have represented my country in. Thank you, good bye.
Power > Money I don't play either sport but if I were to pick one, Rugby would be my choice, money isn't everything. Faking and cheating the sport is shit, I rarely see a rugby player doing it.
Rugby players cheat all the time mate. I would know, I'm a scrum-half so I'm the worst of the bunch. It's all dependant on how a referee calls a game. Believe me though, I play dirty all the time.
Ouch. Regardless, it makes no difference. Believe me. Danny Care? A cheat. Richie McCaw? Huge fucking cheat. Want me to go on? It's not as obvious as it is in football, but people just play the gray areas. That's what makes McCaw so great; He reads the ref well and adjusts his game accordingly, along with the rest of the team he captains. There is plenty of cheating, but... "Acceptable" cheating if you will.
Gus Williams there can be a lot of dirty play in rugby agreed but most of it is just things like illegally stealing possession in rucks and false binding in scrums etc, doesnt really affect the game much unlike diving in football
Every sport has my respect except for that bitch sport soccer. Men pretending to be hurt. WTF is that? Part of the reason kids are such pussies nowadays.
M8 u say football is for whimps but that's probably because u have no coordination and can't kick a ball so all u r capable of is smashing into other people and thus calling it a manly sport. Grow up
I'm tired of seeing these stupid videos taking the piss out of football! I play both rugby and football and I have never experienced the scenes that everyone sees on tv, diving etc in all the time I've played. People judge the game on how the poxy Spanish play it. When I play football it is a high intensity and physical game, not some slow paced little girl show like some games on tv. And as for injuries, I experience much more injuries because of football like pulled muscles, ligament damages and twists. I admit, rugby is a much more physical game and the injuries in rugby I've seen are a lot worse than football, but most people on here brag about that! Getting injuries isn't something you brag about! I play rugby cause it's intense and I love it, not cause I like getting badly injured! Some peoples comments and videos are completely one sided (like this video) and stupid and they don't even know what it is like to acctually play the other game!
....insecure? Says the guy that is feverishly responding to all negative football comments? How's your insecurity Stu? You equate to Rugby with only wealthy supporters? Are you 12?
ice hockey is a non fighting game played by fighters its awesome though because there is much more contact than some other sports, thats why i like ice hockey and rugby more
Ambos deportes son de origen ingles, el rugby es un derivado del fútbol. Aun así, son dos deportes totalmente diferentes que no pueden compararse. Los valores que inspira el Rugby, son mucho mas altos que los del fútbol, de eso no hay duda.
Jack Connor here are comparing force and brutality but not setrata football that if not skill teamwork, if you would compare in brutality will not face the rugby vs box
emerson alex quiñonez quispe Did you watch the video bruh? It's not about force and brutality...it's about the mindset established in each sport. Something like *"Football players spend 90 minutes pretending to be hurt. Rugby players spend 80 minutes pretending that they're not"* When you see those powerful hits between 100kg+ guys at full pace, they simply get up and brace themselves to strike a few more! That's all about mindset, not about force or brutality. You can find a load of videos with brutality in football matches...broken legs on purpose, harsh and mean tackles, assault and hitting on referees, etc.
+Charles Maia simple rugby is for fat undisciplined shit who cant be bothered to go on a diet or hit the gym once in a while. football is a sport when you have to be on peak condition in order to play
+Kai Irani Keep on telling yourself that mate. Who in soccer can play at top level rugby and survive a game unless they keep as far away from the rugby ball as possible? Your right about one thing rugby players can't play football because it is a bit of an embarrassment to fall to the ground after tripping over grass and cry out loud so mommy can hear you. Them skinny footballers would get murdered on a rugby field.
Kai Irani LOL... one of the funniest things I've ever heard! What a pure joy it would be to see just one single football player actually play a real top flight rugby match...Hahahaha! Can't stop laughing...thanks for making my day a little bit better mate! Cheers!
Football has now been reduced to a joke, rugby is the sport par excellence, the most complete, run, jump, grab, throw, push, crawl, fight, use your hands, feet, strength, speed, agility, power, endurance, team play, cunning, space-time perception, coordination, reflexes, etc ... etc .... there is no other sport so complete, you must have a strong and resistant body, a strong mind fast, resistant, strong and resistant heart .....
I love how every tackle was in slow motion to make them look even more epic. Also a lot of those high tackles would have resulted in sin binning. haha. Kind of unfair on football but meh what are the footballers gonna do?
Forgetting skill and money, if given the choice of either Rugby or football for my kid, it would be rugby hands down. Perhaps it's due to money and sponsors but Footballing leagues accept diving as part of their culture. They accept disrespect to officialdom as part of culture and they accept LYING about being injured as part of the culture. The team mates in football have been known to fight with each other - while a match is on! I would not want my kid to accept lying as part of acceptable and necessary behaviour. No matter what.
Harry Wakeford nope don't say that because everyone else is doing it rugby is a gentlemen game played by gentlemen football is a gentlemen game played by pussies
King Kunta looked them up. Akinfenwa is a big guy not gonna deny that but that's pretty much everyone who plays rugby in the BIG leagues. Not really impressed by roy keane tho. Seems to just have anger issues.
This shows how rugby the best game this one woman player (Georgia page ) broke her friggin nose in the middle of a game blood was gushing everywhere but she decided to get back up and make a tackle
they are two different sports for different people, I personally prefer rugby because I am good at it and when I played football I was rejected and picked on.
The way I see it is I've played both sports enjoyed them both as a kid, now I'm older football is not the game for me as I've got physically bigger so rugby is my main sport. I have no issue with football apart for respect or racism and petty dives which ruin the game, but don't get me wrong rugby also has its downfalls sometimes but at the moment the football is getting worser and worser and rugby is getting better and better
Again (like this video and so many comments here) this comment is completely biased. Football has strategy, defence, attack, strength and agility just as rugby does.
What is bad about teasing other players, its literally mind games with the other team, sport is like 70% mental and 30% physical. Ps you dont see people saying mma isnt a mans sport yet it has more trashtalking than anything
Haha, all good, but would be even better if you showed a few shots when the tackler is pwned by the rugby player with the ball. Nothing funnier than seeing a tackler bumped off, see "Morne Steyn Bumps Brody Retallick"
Really? well i grew up playing both and i can honestly say your fitness levels have to be much higher in rugby since you need to back up for every tackle, and re form the defensive line continuously through the game. In football, I at least get a break when the balls on the other side of the field. No breaks in rugby mate.
I was always a football fan but I don't get how people say football is the thinking mans game. In football the rules are easy to understand. When I watch rugby half the time I'm thinking "what?" As I learn more about it I'm turning into more of a Rugby fan now. All my football friends now hate me though cause I told them I was getting into the rugby and tried to get them to watch it with me. I have no friends now lol
Football and Rugby are totally different sports. I don't know why everyone is being so salty in the comments. Football is about finesse and agility while rugby is more of a coordinated team sport which does also require a lot of skill. There really isn't any comparison to be made. It's not whether rugby is for "real men" or if football is for "pussies" some people like football and some like rugby. Personally I like football and I don't know much about rugby but i have no reason to hate on it like a lot of people are doing in the comments.
Well no, some of these players who randomly fell over could have pulled a hamstring or hurt something in there leg, some of them are being pussies, but that never really happens.
I'm new to rugby, but I think I'm in love with this sport already. Can someone explain to me @ 8:06, why didn't he tackle the player? Are you supposed to tackle him only if he is in possession of the ball?
I find it so funny when footballers are 'hurt' and they are off for weeks on end. Players get knocked out in rugby and when they come back into consciousness they want to continue playing.
i love both sports. i would like to see a good quality video that is unbiased and shows the greatness of both sports. that would be a video i would love to watch. i played both sports in my lifetime. i was a wicked goalkeeper in high school and when i went to college i played prop. i enjoyed both sports and had a blast. both sports are great in there own way.
I play rugby and I got to admit it, football needs alot of TALENT due to the competition. I have also been in a good football team, but I dislike how players get touched and fall into the ground like a little girl. I find rugby more fun because you can hurt people (yes i'm evil :P) and due to the fact that the team is very attached... People don't get sold like crazy in rugby as they do in football. Anyways good vid!
@@Maxshorts165 it takes no skill to grab an egg and control it with your primary limbs(arms/hands) but it takes a lot of skill to controll it with your feet.
Unfortunately, you seem to have chosen quite a few highly questionable "tackles" in your rugby examples (too high, no arms, late, taken out in the air)
This is true... So a rugby player dislocated his arm a popped it back in place and when a footballer dislocated his arm he had to be taken off in a stecher Rugby (for the men) Football (for wimps)
Rugby ? I like it.... Football ? I love It...... Manliness ? yes Rugby have it... Beauty ? Football have it...... but Dont forget most countries says that football as their "religion"..... In another countries Rugby have their biggest fans..... so I think it's unfair to discredit any sport that you know.... we all have our own fave sports..... So live in peace and watch your favorite games..... I love you all......
When a football fan makes a comparison he takes all best rugby clips... When rugby fan makes a vid he takes all worst clips.... Is that how scared u are???
Whoever thinks soccer is tougher than rugby, obviously hasn't played it. The hardest part about rugby is that you will be expected to tackle people that weight at least 50 kg more than you running at full speed.
John Johnson no existe en el mundo ni en ningún idioma del mundo deporte alguno llamado "soccer" el deporte más grande practicado y popular del mundo se llama FOOTBALL y es el único verdadero original y real FOOTBALL que existe no existe otro idiota
Ok, I love american football. I actually don't like any 2 of these sports, so my opinion with no be bias. You are comparing a contact sport to a sport where you are not suppose to touch the other players. I do hate how they pussy out and pretend to be hurt. Thats actually unfair, and shows they are weak. ------------------------------------------------------------- (By football, I mean american football in this opionion) (This might be a little bias because I like american football, but I tried to be as real as possible) Now, I would compair football (american) to rugby. They both have there moments, I just think football is more rough because with the pads n' gear, they are not as afraid to hit harder. Now, the pads do not make you injury-free. Football has way more injurys then football. If you actually watched a football game, and a rugby game, you'd understand. Also, football is more intense I think. Near the end, if the teams are tied up or really close, it gets really intense. Example: Superbowl 49. Seahawks vs Patriots. We all thought the patriots were gonna lose, we thought they were gonna run the ball and score and its all over. Nope. Butler intercepts the ball and makes the patriots win. I watched some rugby games, it can get intense I guess. But its so fast pace you don't have time to be ecitded (idk how to spell that word) - and it happens to quick. In football, every play you get time to think: "Are they gonna score? Are they gonna fumble? Are they gonna win/lose?" Overall I think football is a better sport. Some of you might say: "Well, its not world-wide. Why would it be so good if others don't play it." - Well, because some places don't play it because it causes so many injurys. Americans play it because we (I think) are the toughest. We can take hits and stuff. Not bashing on other places, some of you may be strong, but I think we are stronger for this reason. Hope you enjoyed both of my opionions :D (Remember: other sports are fun, I actually enjoy playing soccer and stuff at school, but I think football is over-all the toughest sport)
Rugby has to sort out its homophobic, sexist and sanctimonious attitude more like. If you want to be a great sport then simply concentrate on BEING a great sport, so leave out all of the deluded dick-measuring and trying to pompously lecture the world's most popular sport, which is doing just fine, despite its faults.
@@Leifr952 mate you are everywhere and hating on rugby, you probely bad as fack att football that why you are a keyboard warrior and have to defend your "sport". And how is it homophobic to tackle a persson, and if thats how you touch your women i really feel bad for her.
@@Leifr952 mate all you got to say about football is that is the biggest sport. Go grab your round ball and play some football with your princes friends👸👸
This is kinda general , some soccer players get seriously injured. I know a footballer who had his face pretty messed up when his can of hairspray exploded under pressure it was pretty messy.
In the description he says which is better then he proceeds to show clips of divers and clips of rugby players being tough just show good football moments. Or even better don’t compare them at all
As someone who's played both sports all there life, I've only ever broken my thumb in rugby. I've broke my ankle 3 times, enough for me to go from right footed to left. Nuff said. If you think rugby is a more physically demanding sport you're deluded. They're both even. The only time someone ever gets injured in rugby is when the tackle is illegal.
Are you joking? must be. Ive played football (goalkeeper) and rugby fullback. Football no. rugby broken shoulder, arm. Pulled neck (caused me to be fed through a tube.) and lung damage. Played for Aberdeen Grammer Football and Aberdeen Grammer Rugby + semi perfesional with the huricanes.
Whoever plays football carry on playing it bc u do get more money but I do play rugby nd just so u know rugby won looking at that. And this goes to the footballers try to tackle a running rugby player bc I have to put up with that every night
Exactly this type of “hard man” attitude that has led to players continuing whilst concussed. And for the record it was a footballer who carried on playing after breaking his neck in a cup final. No one’s topping that
***** went back, counted. 5 of them were clearly illegal but there were plenty of clips so a very small majority. Anyway at the end of the day most of those players would have got back up unlike some of those football players.
What a stupid comparison if bodychecking was allowed in football they would do the exact same, it's called to provoke tactical fouls. The beauty of football are not the fouls, it is who is more efficient on scoring more goals than his opponent, as a team.
Rugby is the same... The beauty of rugby is not the amount of hard tackles, open cheeks and cracked skulls at the end of the game - it is who gains more tries and conversions and most of all - seeing a gap in the defense or scoring that drop goal that ultimates lead to your team winning. I've watched soccer/football and I watch Rugby. For me, rugby is more intensive, there is more movement, more action, more strength and therefore I would rather watch rugby than trying to sit 90 minutes and being bored.
So why is this video here a thing then? If you make a comparison between 2 different sports, try and make it at least objective and not completely biased.
football players earn penalty, goals by faking injuries... they even get players off the football ground by faking injuries.... so yeah go with your bullshit but footboll have gone into somthing else. not a sport for me...
Christo Gaybba Id rather watch high-functioning humans play a real sport like football than have to endure the spectacle of 30 public shoolboys in short shorts waddling across a muddy pitch dropkicking a giant egg to each other.
No matter what, football is the most popular sport in the World. It's the world game and far more entertaining than any other sports especially boring boring rugby
its because its the easiest to understand sport, and once a few people start liking it, everyone else joins in just to be cool. Rugby is also a very intense sport, not a lot of people like the tackling and ect. just because fifa is rich and a lot of people watch it doesn't mean its better or more fun, and as far as I've scene from both sides of playing, people are just more respectful in rugby
WaRmuZv football consists of pretending to die to favour the referee, and kicking a ball in the general direction of a net and hoping it goes in. Rugby is about speed, strength, endurance, skill and being part of a team. It is far less boring than football.
Rugby is boring - FACT. That's why it never exploded after England's WC win. If it's that accessible to the unskilled why is it that it hasn't overtaken the number one sport in the world? Just too boring, just like the idiotic comments stating that it's played by "real" men. Grown men rolling around in the mud, laying on top of each other...zzzzzzzzz.
