I own this gun with an upgraded trigger. These guns are great tools for a shooter to really learn to shoot. Anyone who says “I will never own a .22” really doesn’t have a clue as to the role a .22 can have in becoming a skilled shooter. The gun is hell to take down. The mark 4 is much improved. If you can shoot right groups with this gun at 50 ft you can shoot anything. Get that left hand correctly on the gun and you will stop pulling.
B Doc There are some great takedown videos on this gun. I was fearing the disassembly and cleaning and it wasn't too bad. Thanks for watching and yup, a .22. pistol like this is great for leaning how to shoot well!
If you install a good red dot like the Vortex Venom , you will notice a marked improvement in accuracy. It was many years before I realized the accuracy of hand guns when I started using red dots.
My steel shooting was nothing to write home about in terms of accuracy until I started firing at the diamond shaped plate in the further group of targets.
question for ya, I have a lot of guns, a lot. I don't have anything in .22. I don't want a pistol in that caliber, bit I'll take a rifle. Other than the river 10/22, what would be another good choice?
I’m trying to judge accuracy. Wish someone would shoot the dang gun from a rest setup, slow fire so you can actually judge the accuracy instead of the shooter. I mean if I shot any of those target in 50 foot bullseye league, i wouldn’t make the team score.
Check the NRA online publications. One of their online magazines probably tested this pistol at one point or another and they always do a resting pistol accuracy. I try to show "average joe" standing accuracy at varying distances. Thank you for watching!
