Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle Training -- Introduction 

One thing, I forget to mention in my last post: Thank you Ruger for putting together a series on the GSR... I'm really looking forward to some good training and learning!

Hey Cave Wyatt, the great thing about this Scout, is that the recoil is very manageable, even chambered in .308. The recoil pads are very well made and absorb much of the recoil energy. I have put almost 1,000 rounds thru my Scout in the last several months, and it is a pleasure to shoot. Even after shooting a 100 rounds downrange, and my shoulder was fine, no aches, no bruises. Hats off to Ruger and Gunsite for creating such a great rifle that really does do it all.

Oh, man! I wish my rebuilt shoulder could take the recoil. This thing is just what the doctor ordered!
