Excellent video, very detailed and informative as well as the other two I just watched on the TX22 Guide rods. (Fortunately for me I have the Lakeline Guide rod) Have you had any issues with the guide rod on the SR22? I replaced it with a SS from Tandemkross and it seems that it is the culprit creating multiple issues, according to the Gunsmith. I asked him to run the gun with 6 different ammo and fully serviced magazines and he concluded that it was the guide rod. So, last Friday I returned the OEM to him for further testing. If he is correct I will stay with the original plastic guide rod and I may have to eat the SS Tandemkross because it has been a very long time since I purchased it. Joe P
Thanks for the comment. As for the guide rod for the SR22 I have the Tandemkross as well. The only issue I have had with it is when I'm shooting over 200 rounds through it. It seems to need a quick wipe-down and a little extra lubricant then she is back up and running. I'll see if I can get a video out displaying this and give it a more detailed on-the-fly troubleshooting.
Yes and no. Technically you do lose the last round slide lock catch because it will no longer engage it. The follower will Catch the slide but will not lock it in place. As soon as you release the magazine the slide will return to full battery/go forward and close.
You lose slide lock with Galloway if you eject mag and want to insert another mag you will need to pull slide back to reset. It's why I went with the Tandem Kross. Fun good gun to shoot. Possibly for carry I mean 16rds in a small package is still 16rds. Wish there was a bigger aftermarket following.
@@tesla82111 I have the tandemkross wingman +5 and the nictaylor follower. It's 16+1 I believe if you chamber 1 and you retain the slide lock after last round is fired. The slide locks onto the follower. Not the slide lock on gun just so your aware. You can still pull it back a little farther if you want the slide lock on the gun engaged if I remember correctly. Its been awhile.
