I'm waiting on a 22 can for over a year now about to purchase a rugged obsidian 9 today I hope it's as good as everyone says I was debating it for the dead air Wolfman Edit I did buy obsidian 9
This is such a cool video because you can see your excitement! Suppressors are so cool and I rarely shoot without one now. I wish I would have filmed the first time I used a suppressor. But Like @MLower312 said, if you shoot some good 147-165 grain subsonic rounds through the Obsidian it will REALLY be cool. Honestly I wouldn't shoot hundreds of rounds without ear protection, but a magazine or two I have no problem and it is so much better.
I bought the rugged obsidian 45acp for my walther ppq 45acp tactical but i purchased a half by twenty eight piston to use for my 9mms and i also got the 9mm end cap i use 147 grain lawman sub sonics with a few sprays of water and it's movie quiet the baffles snap together so the aluminum tube doesn't get very dirty all the baffles and piston go in my sonic cleaner filled with purple power.
I have shot the Obsidian 45…. I know this video is 6months old, and you’ve had a chance to play/learn, but try putting some vaseline on the baffles next time. And, as others have stated, use subsonic ammo.
@@Rob_Shoot you can shoot the can “wet” using water, wire pulling gel , ultra sound gel is cheap….. but really, vaseline allows you to stage the suppressor for months at a time, it won’t dry out or corrode the can. The reduction in sound is noticeable. The short configuration wet should be on par with the long configuration dry.
That’s just crazy! I just passed my 90 days for my rugged razor last week. On SilencerShop website is saying that approval ratings are now below 80 days? I contacted the ATF and even they said that’s very unlikely since they are still around the 200 day range.
The suppressor itself it was on sale at my local gun store for $549. Keep this in mind that does not include the $200 tax stamp and the state sales tax. As for the Smith and Wesson, I believe it does. I’ve been doing some research and everything indicates it will fit.
The Obsidian9 could work on an S&W FPC the only thing you would need to do would be replace the spring in the suppressor piston with a fixed barrel spacer. Or you could add a taper lock mount instead of the piston and M2 Brake on the FPC for a QD setup.
