I love the full kit. It just has so much more presence once you add the sides/rear spats. Add in those 5mm spacers, and it's perfect

Put a small piece of flat metal behind the front GTR emblem as a support. May make it feel more solidly mounted.

The side skirts and rear spats are definitely the way to go. For me personally I think the fitment and offset are perfect, not too aggressive also not too sunken in, a functional and reliable fitment if I must say myself

If you can remove the bottom lip of the front bumper, then you can go no side skirts, if not side skirts, because it looks too front heavy without

After you put the 5mm spacers on the side skirt side it just looks so freaking good. I know the sideskirtless look you want but dude it looks so mean. Skirts and spacers is a go imo.

Hey man! The spats needs to have an angle cut into it for the diffuser to slot into. When you buy them as a standalone item, they dont have it cut factory from Nismo as there are Non-vspec and vspec versions (non-vspec dont run diffusers). I had a cut a slit in mine and everything fit up perfectly. The Z tune and R tune for example have there's cut from factory. As for my recommendation with the skirts, they take a beating! Especially if you love driving it as much as i do, be prepared for semi-slicks and track days to ruin those things. I see them as disposable items. Most other GTR owners dont drive them enough to notice. So running it the mines way would be more practical.

Gotta run the skirts with the front bumper looks so much better that way … but I will say Mine’s doesn’t do the skirts and it looks awesome Edit: after watching further into the video you mentioned Mine’s … hmmmm I think both look great but with skirts looks a bit more complete

I’ll break from crowd and vote to remove the front S Tune lip, and run without the side skirts + spats. That will help balance the look. I appreciate that you kept in your adjustments to set up the look. This makes me feel better with how often I’ve done little setup tweaks to set up the aesthetics.

I think the wheels are fine but those skirts must have on the car for sure wheels could do with a change but that’s in due time those wheels look fine on the car now but over time I am almost for sure they will swap them up it just won’t work forever but for now that’s the only reason I clicked on the video was those wheels great wheels

Personally the nismo kit gives me more gtr vibes but you're right... 19s are needed with a better offset.. Without the nismo kit it still looks good but more skyline than gtr skyline

Since the front bumper has the lip and sits lower, you need IMO the full extension kit on the car otherwise it looks like it's missing something aka looks naked

I think you need the skirts for dropping the height of the rocker to match the front bumper but the skirts themselves don't really match the car. The stock ones extended down would look a lot better. In this case of yes and no, I'd run without. Edit: Yeah looking at it for longer those skirts ruin the lines of the car. I think you should find something else.

I think it looks amazing with the full kit on, but my big concern would be scraping such a lovely kit. It would be heartbreaking if it got damaged on the awful GTA roads. Otherwise its looking fantastic!

I think the design of cars gets ruined by tacking on lips and skirts and fenders to everything - I like the skirtless side and i even might take off the lip to even it out. Bonus is that you'd actually be able to street drive it without scraping everywhere. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should when it comes to mods.

funny how hard it is to decide. I understand completely the clean look but after the spacers on the side skirt side like it a bit better. It might be a JDM faux pas but wanted to know if you pulled the portion of the front bumper just above the front splitter and went without (no side skirts). Would that look good?

I personally think that only the r31 and 2 can pull of only having a front lip. 33s and 4s are just fat so it needs more flow.

Problem I have with the side skirts (and spats) are they are convex. I think they would match the bumper better if it was straight with out the curve in it. I think that's why without the skirts and spats it still looks clean, with shape of the rockers matching the bumper lip. The rim color not a fan of, might be how the camera picks up the color, idk, but they do look nice on the car style wise.

R34s definitely look better with the full aero package. I appreciate the look with just the front bumper but side skirts and rear spats definitely complete look. That Nismo front bumper is calling for some more aero. The OEM+ Nismo look is so iconic and what people think about when you say R34 Skyline, it’s legendary.

I had those wheels (in white especially) on every one of my cars in Gran Tourismo 2 back in the day…so perfect for this era of car. I definitely think no side skirts or spats. Looks period correct in my opinion!!

The only problem with the wheels is the white color. They are throwing off both combinations of skirts no skirts. I like the skirts because they balance out the front. You guys are great.

When you initially put the skirts on the car on the lift, I thought I was going to lean that way until you moved the car onto the ground. I like it best without the skirts/spats. It looks good both ways though!

Covering up the red FD's gorgeous hips with the tupperware bulge side skirts is the real issue to be discussed. I like the GTR without the skirts.

No skirts and spats. It's just bolting weight to the car that will not have a measurable aero benefit. More parts to peel off when you have an off at the track.

I used to think paint matching was easy. You just plop the paint code into a machine that tells you what to mix. Until you find out there can be 25+ tints of the same paint code. The only way to guarantee a perfect match is to spray the whole car from the same mix, the same gun, on the same day with the same environmental conditions lol. And I'm truly torn. With those wheels and no spacers, I say no side skirts or rear skirts. With spacers or 19's the skirts work.

This is why body shops use spectrometers that gives a more precise match within a color code. Sometimes it's still off a bit because of sun damage and whatever, in these cases you would often spray out the adjacent panels to blend it in.

Honestly nismo lmgt4s or advan GTs in a dark gunmetal or metallic black is the move for me on this car. Not enough contrast otherwise

@@PeterPangea I think I disagree on black. Im starting to not like black wheels except on blue or black cars. Getting tired of gunmetal as well, I still think a steel grey (in-between silver and gunmetal) would be best on this car. I want to see a comeback for silver and off-silver wheels. Im buying brand new gunmetal wheels and getting them stripped and resprayed in silver , and getting my OG TE37s done in silver as well. Looks perfect for an OEM plus look

The regas need spacers either way you go. I would start with no side skirts or rear spats and just spacers to begin ("less is more") until you get bored with it. Then, you can throw the skirts and rear spats on for a little extra flair. Itll feel like a facelift for the car at that point and you get maximum enjoyment out of the car at each stage

I like the side skirts on. I have an issue with the front and rear lips being soo much lower than the sides. I see that all the time and it doesn't look right to me.

Hard no on the front bumper lower trim. Sits way too low, you're going to be scraping it all the time. Without that, you don't have to run the side skirts and keep the cleaner OEM+ look.

Thats how Vspecs are from factory. They look weird and lose downforce without the front splitter. It also guides air to cool down the rotors. 100% necessary item.

Hell yes on this build! Damn I love the R34 and even more so when I see all the awesome kit it comes with stock. I definitely prefer it with the skirts and rear spats. I get the clean lines without but then the front bumper looks too low and throws the proportions off

No skirts give it a nice trimmed muscular look! With the skirts on the proportions are unbalanced and busy looking! Honestly the rear wing could go as well! Never been a fan of R33 or R34 wings except for the 400R which flows with the whole package!

That R34 is mesmerizing, I’d say the side skirts side looks 2002 SuperStreet Magazine perfect but no skirts looks Tokyo Highway Battle tough. 50/50 for sure!

Full kit looks good, but need a more aggressive offset. Maybe lower just a bit. I'm not sold on the white on silver for the GTR. Not sure it suits the body lines. I think that white is more suited for a hatch, Subie or Evo. I would prefer fully black or gunmetal Work Meister S1 or bronze a set Rays CE28N.

You have to run the side skirts. I think they look goofy without them. I have an R34 GTR, and my rear spats have small slots cut in to clear the diffuser. I can't remember your tire size, but I have 275/30/19 on 10.5" +12 rim, and with my ride height and alignment get slight tire rub on front of front right front inner guard at full lock

The clean look is better... honestly I don't like the extra-low front lips on 80's/90's/00's JDM cars - they make the front look extra tall and unbalanced. Just lower the car a bit more without the bumper extension if you really have to. That bumper with just a bit of flat splitter sticking out would look amazing.

I run 19x10.5. lmgt4. rub a little on lock. 19x10 or 19x9.5. I'm also running 265x30 advan anyway love the content good to see actual work I know I had same prob with rear spats. and could find nothing so I'm loving your vids

I love the Nismo kit, the car looks more complete, better compensated, and more aggressive. It's the dream R34. But man, I get you with the Mine's spec look. It would be great if you show up at the track with that look and the BBS LM, playing mind games with DP, I tell you 🤣🤣

Still not sure I’m a fan of white wheels on silver car. Maybe not enough contrast. Like the wheel design. But, if you like it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Definitely like the side skirts. Makes it more cohesive.

The skirts look amazing but the wheels seem to be taking away from it. Maybe its the wheel and color combo. Silver and white to me in my opinion is tricky. Still an amazing build and gorgeous. I know rocking TE's are the go to but lord some OG's or the SL's would look dirty. Still gorgeous brother keep the video's coming!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I think if the Regas stay the skirts/spats must go. The wheels just look too small with the full kit on. Spacers didn’t fix it in my eyes. Build is looking sweet though, and even though I love “Z Tune” builds, that has been done plenty of times before whereas a more retro-looking, Mine’s inspired design would be a lot more original and unique!

I was 100% pro-aero before watching the video but will admit I am a bit torn after seeing both. I don't know that you can go wrong either way, honestly. Maybe just leave it as is and then you can enjoy both styles depending on which way you walk up on it. (Your OCD won't allow that LOL)

Is the front with that big bumper "period correct?" I think you EITHER keep the whole car slender and clean with no side skirts and now deep chin bumper/spoiler OR you add the skirts all around to have a nice balanced look. Otherwise the front end looks after-market tacked on to me. But this is just a truly layman's opinion. Not really familiar with these cars.

Skip the skirts, looks better without them, I'd also ditch the secondary splitter on the front bumper. I think functionally you would drive the car more without the front lip/splitter addition and sideskirts as well. Plus the wheels look tiny when you add all the ground effects, they seem too small for the wheel-well. Maybe drop the front and rear by 1/4 to 1/2 an inch and follow through by removing those additional pieces and I think it's gonna be a perfectly set up car that you won't be afraid to drive consistently. The very obvious next modification though would be a Seibon carbon hood with the louvered Mid-section for an aesthetic enhancement on the front end (paint matched of course). And for the rear a very tasteful but simple step-up secondary blade would really set it off nicely. It's a very well set up car, it doesn't need much to look great and sometimes simple just looks better.

So much better with the side and rear skirts. Matches the front and looks killer ! 😎😎 Also the tires looks a bit too small (sidewalls) I would put on 275/35r18 instead of the 265/35, will bring the tire closer to stock size and fill the wheel well better.

Looks good both ways, I agree about the r32 that only had a front lip.. but I just don't think those side skirts work, they are too sharp for the shape of the car. Simpler, flatter skirts like c-west or uras, or just a carbon lip/extension below would match up much better with the front (in my opinion anyway)

The skirts complete the car. Without it, I find R34s look unfinished. Wheels wise, I think 18's are best but with a bit more offset. Also why don't you jack up the car, the measure from the center hub to the fender height? That way you can do it without worrying about the floor .

Must have side skirts. Looks good but u do need 19 inch wheels. Stock GTR 34 I think they come with 19 inch or 20 inch don’t remember. Great job either way

100% yes to adding the Nismo sideskirts -- I know everyone runs it but it looks so much aggressive and rounds everything out so well! Would you consider adding the Nismo dry carbon wingblade as well as doing an carbon R-Tune hood?

I dig the wheels, however, I don't think they fit the color, nor the car. You need 19's and they need to be either gold or Mag Blue. In addition, the offset is wrong, you need more aggressive offset. Perhaps use the 18's for track use, but for show, you definitely need 19's. My 2 cents

I agree that both variants look dam good, however if your running the Nismo front which you are then the additions of the side & rear kit are a must imo. Defiantly try a bigger set of wheels with the full kit, I'm sure it will transform the car once again. However if your addiment on running the current wheels I would try some more wider spacers for comparison. Great work though guys! 👌👌

Run the full kit. As running only the bumper, the car profile is off, the front bumper sits lower and makes it look like a replica/buildup/wip. You don’t want the snow plough look. With the white wheels I would run one profile up on the sidewall to take up a bit of that arch gap. Or buy a set of matte gold work emotion cr kiwami in 19s 🥵
