In order to accurately write marking lines, I made a marking gauge that can adjust the gap. Click here for the blueprint jisaku-koubou.com/downloads/p...
Early morning in Argentina and the sheer pleasure of seeing you work, whatever it is you are making, puts a smile on my face and sets the tone for the day to come! Thank you sir.
I love that you are so often revisiting your designs and improving them. Clearly what you are making has purpose and is used instead of being left to gather dust after only a few uses. Great work as always!
Fantastic! Every tool or jig that you make is extremely accurate! I know that every project that you build would be of the same standard. Thanks for sharing.
Excelent video as allways... as a teacher, i tend to share the slider ruler with my students, and what i see is that they forguet to unscrew the fixing screw. i sugest you to add a material on the screw-ruller interface such as a bronce strip to avoid tearing off the numbers. Best regards!
Hello JSK, Suggestion : If it's possible , just please enumerate the brand of the tools that you use it your video. It helps people that want to do the same. I'm talking in all your videos ! Thanks, you do very precise/clean works! 🙂
Facinating! You guys are so fortunate to have all those little accessories at hand to add to your dexterity of craftman ship. Anyway, those male and female screws what is the right name and where can they be otained. Thanks.
Well done, next upgrade, a small cutout to see the numbers better and add a blade for the arrow across the cutout to help align. Further upgrade, you're always using a marker, insert the marker in the instrument.
Damn, I get goosebumps every single time I watch you build something, for various reasons and your kanal is one of my absolute favorite. Outstanding as always, still admiring the level of precision you obtain with wood and aluminum. Keep on, exquisite content! 🤐😁
Beautiful I do that when fixing bolts or screws I screw down in opposite diagonal corners and then I tighten each one fully it keeps the item straight and flush
Hello friend. I've been following your videos for a few days and I'm enchanted by each project. And I'm also enchanted by your tools and the care you show with each one of them. Could you tell me where I can purchase the center marker punch you use? This one has a kind of magnifying glass that helps you visualize the line. Thank you very much.
At 0:50 only one of the brass strips needs to be movable. The other piece is fixed square. And therefore you only need one screw in the middle of the moveable brass piece. 3 adjustments no longer required.
I enjoy your videos so much! There’s always something thoughtful to learn from your designs and your skills. Where could I find one of the angle guides you frequently use?
forgive me if I am wrong, maybe some kind of grease would make friction as low as possible. and options of adjustment is very convenient. love your work vey much.
Just a light hearted comment - If I made the marking gauge, I would firmly fix one strip of metal and use the other piece to connect against the ruler. Cheers.
For the upper (light) part, make a ruler clip, in the form of a brass plate. Otherwise, the ruler screw will scrape the ruler and destroy the markings. This will make the plate slide over the marking.
the "see through" brass & glass? Centre punch with crosshairs. is this something you made or a purchased item? if a purchased item could I please have a link so that I too may purchase?
man you are good! I just wish that you share the tools you used as well as the supplies, like the pencils, double sided tape ( I have asked for this before).
Hello, I have purchased and took a look at your plans for this Marking Gauge which almost seem complete except for Assy Dwg 04 which I believe the 4-M4x112mm low head bolt is incorrect and should be M4x12mm lg. I hope you would correct this and let me know. Thanks for the plans.
“Ruler Marking Gauge with adjustment fonction” or “The Art of making something that was already perfect even more perfect". For once, I have stopped my work to look at yours. Normally, I use to go to bed with your video. You have to stop being so dame good because I running out of compliments. Domo Arigato.
