This project is honestly turning out better than i expected. Im sure i will be doing another test run with the tilt system up when it warms up a little so i can crank the ac. keep watching my experiment lol.

Had one of those campers , teardrop type. Brother borrowed it to go across America. Bottom fell out. Literally. Cost more to fix it then it cost originally. The top had a teeny tiny little hole where the seam was. It allowed water to collect in the bottom , they """: do not have drain holes. So it collected like a pool. Couldn't see it , smell it , and no way what-so-ever to see it. The other bad thing about them is that there is no easy in or out. Easy pickens for bad people , bears ,and no gooders . Been there done that , got the t-shirt. Never again. Peace . p.S. THEY ARE ALSO ""hot "" in the winter get ready for inside rain and drips. As long as you don't breathe, you'll be ok though. My brother sold it to the tow driver for $ 300 and they flew to Ca. then flew home.

Great setup thanks for posting...Do you think installing a Soft Start on the a/c unit would increase the battery run time since it greatly reduces the current draw everytime the compressor kicks in ? Just a thought...

Im do not believe that instantaneous burst really put that much drawdown on the battery. I think the main purpose of the soft start to not overload the inverter or generator on start up. the renogy 2000w inverter or the champion 2500 generator have no problem handling that initial load. great question tho. small generators or inverters will kick off on safety overload.

Thanks for for all the info you put out I'm starting a solar project on my Range Runner I'll be using a single 405 watt bifacial panel which according to specs can put out 405 watts from the top and 266 from the bottom which might eliminate having to tilt the system. I'll be using the same charge controller that you have, did you select lithium battery option on the controller or user option and put in your own values ? Thanks for your input...btw how is the system holding up ? Would you have done anything different ? Thanks again...

The system works great. The tilt system really made it complete. Im happy with it.

Any reason you dont run low fan low compressor?

I did some testing the compressor seemed to actually draw more amps on low cool. Than high cool. Comp speed never changes but fan does . I beleive the increased amp draw has something to do with the actual heat load on the coil ( tech ac stuf)
