40-50 $ cheaper, not bad and the image quality isn't bad either open ipc is even cheaper obviously, but that's not a ready to run system

They are very durable too. I bought quite a few when the vista first released and all still work. Have had to replace cables and lenses but even water hasn't killed them.

Great setup, and nice to see good pricing return post 2021. The RunCam Link with the Wasp camera option is also on discount. (not sure if coupon can be applied) BTW: Noticed RunCam has recently introduced a Night Eagle camera for lower light that works with the Link, and released a new independent helmet cam, with looks interesting as has a goose neck extension for the camera angle to be adjusted. At 100g, might be an option for inflight videos as well. Is great to see new products being introduced.

Hi Steve. I suspect the original goggles are not compatible but can't confirm. I don't sell 3D prints but the file (Thingiverse) is linked in the description.

On your Manta VTOL I noticed that you have some random character generation popping up. I've experienced that as well on some of my INAV builds running WTFOS. Did you by chance have that air unit connected using a full soft serial? I've also witnessed it when connecting to regular uart but not nearly as much.

Andrew, please can you explain how you power this set-up. I think the DJI Air Unit needs to be connected to a flight controller. Can this Runcam Link unit be connected directly to power via a standard rc receiver? I fly gliders and I just want a simple FPV set-up preferably without having to install a flight controller.

FC is only required for temperature related power control and OSD. Can just power the unit from your flight battery 7.4V minimum. Just need to turn off Temperature control in the goggles (same for full air units too)

does NOT need a flight controller. Just power. I have one on my RC truck crawler powered off of the balance cable on 12v.

@@AndrewNewton I hear you... I went with HDZero and a Walksnail VRX. I still have and love my DJI P4P Pro+ and Mavic Pro. Never Updated the DJI software and they still fly like the day they were bought in 2016.
