Great video. This brought back memories of when I lived in the Springs. Next time you should “run” up Barr Trail up to the top of Pikes Peak….there’s a race there called the Pikes Peak Ascent. As a veteran of the race myself (I’ve run it 13 times), it never gets old. That would be an epic runners weekend video!
@@kofuziYou’ll be fine on either PPA or PPM, and it looks like you already tried the route to the trail (where you got lost before the Incline). Awesome video!
I always like to save these Runner’s Weekend videos for something to look forward too. But I never wait too long 🙂 I think of Seth DeMoor when I see you in Colorado and wonder what he’s up to now also.
So cool you did the Manitou Incline. It is definitely a challenge! Next time you are in the Springs let me know and I'll show you some great trails and sights. Looks like you were heading up the trail used for the Pikes Peak Marathon to get to Barr Trail.
I'll be there in September for the PPA, not sure if I'll have it in me to do the incline as well. I felt like I was trying to catch my breath just watching you go up the stairs 😅

12:55. As you know, Elkanah is in the military. The military teaches recruits to eat fast. I wonder if that affected Elkanah's pace of eating. It's also my observation that kids from big families, or where food is scarce, tend to eat faster.
I know the Incline record is just under 17 and half minutes but I wonder if anyone has tried to set the record time for down the Incline, or probably called the Manitou Decline 😂 One record I would decline trying to set. 😅
