Spencer, this unquestionably counts as a completed Kipchoge challenge. Your 1400 meter split was definitely close enough to be in the clear, but then to follow it up with a full 1600 meters in 4:37 is just epic. Congratulations man. To this day this is the first time I've ever seen someone complete this challenge. Can't wait for your 2023 to unfold.
Doing more than a 5k at 4:37 pace, before a 4:37 mile.....pretty impressive. That also shows progress. You and Allie are both getting stronger. I guess healthy tacos are of benefit!
Not only was your workout very impressive, it was also entertaining to watch. I can only dream of a 4:37 pace, but you went out and did it. Kudos to you! I am also super impressed that you did not give up after the 1400 and then crushed the 1600. That is some mental discipline!
One of the worst feelings in running is when your form is slowly breaking down and there isn't anything you can do about it....then your mind is the only thing that can get you through.
This is great, you are on fire. Kipchoge is such a humble athlete, I watched the video about him from GQ, (10 things they can't live without) every football player or other star athletes are talking about their golden watches and supercars and Eliud is just mentioning his notebook where he logs his training, he is the role model.
This is a great effort. To run a sub 4:40 mile after those previous efforts is excellent 💪🏻. I'd probably make the 600 but no way am I doing a 2:18 800m rep after the first 3. The twins will do very well if they have a go.
Bro I completely count that as accomplished. I think what the workout should be is your average time. So try and hit the paces as best you can but if you are a little fast or slow, just make up for those couple seconds in other reps like you did. Bc it only takes more fitness to hit irregular paces. So just so your average is 4:37, I say you got it. You murdered this challenge bro
I remember back three years ago when you and Ari where trying to find get brooks to pay for Chipotle and now look at you. Both have sponsors and you even nabbed a team-mate 😉 nice vid
This workout looks brutal.Ari should have helped run/pace. I say your mile was legit because you had a few seconds cushion from previous reps. That was an impressive finish.
