Here you can find the Payload that is needed to ssh into a scope with a newer firmware, on older firmwares SSH was enabled by default.
BTW, I have not done anything of this, I just followed the instructions and started the Game!
EEVBlog:

The guy on the last Post on P. 33 made the Payload to enable SSH
And here you can find an howto as well as all the files to start the Game!

So that's the main purpose of Rigol oscilloscopes.

I definitely need the scope! My boss will like it! When he see me playing the Doom! Great!

Cool. Someone whose name I don't remember anymore commented once on one of my comments that once you have this going, you can also run other open source oscilloscope software on it, such as sigrok/pulseview with all those free protocol decoders for ex, so you don't have to buy a lisense for 400 Euro per protocol or similar. Although, Rigol gives the whole software bundle for free nowadays when you buy the scope. If I am not mistaken 😉

I bought an oscilloscope for half the price to use as an oscilloscope.

Weird flex but okay.

You BOUGHT AN OSCILLOSCOPE to use AS AN OSCILLOSCOPE Ummmmm... OK but also, Price doesn't determine that a scope is good so why you're saying HALF THE PRICE is weird. Why don't you say something like.... "I bought this scope, Make and Model for Half the price" and that then would make more sense. As for your statement overal... Great if you saved money, but it really depends what you do with the scope doesn't it ? so... Let's say you have Arduino projects that use LED Strips and all you need to do is confirm that you have a signal coming off an arduino pin and going to the LED and you need to see the signal in some sort of legible manner well then... if the rigol (base Model) is around $2,000 and you paid half (this $1,000) You didn't need to do that, You could have paid $300 for an FNIRSI, Hell, You could have paid $80 for one of those ebay cheapies and you'd still be fine However if you're using FFT and require a good degree of clarity and you're doing protocol analysis as well as you need deep memory to analyze quick signals then your cheaper scopes are not going to cut it. Now i also have a scope that is half the price of the MSO5000 or perhaps less, it's called the DS2000A, and it's a kick arse scope and you can even half that to go to DS1054Z, Not as good as the 2000A but still decent BUT LET'S BE CLEAR ON THIS You cannot compare those scopes to 8Gsa/s and 200Mpts Memory Depth. I can absolutely see a side by side difference on my bench between my DS2000A and MSO5000 it's not even a comparison but then i do things that require higher accuracy so YOU NEED TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE RIGHT JOB some people need a $300,000 scope that can do 10GHz on the front end and then some people are just testing an L.E.D Blinking and will settle for a $50 C.R.O. each to his own But why you need to flex about it is beyond me We all have a scope mate, You're not special, and the guy that has the $50 CRO can easily argue that he feels that his scope shits on your scope. EACH TO HIS OWN FOR THEIR OWN PURPOSE or whatever it is you're working on. Another example, I have the money to go out and buy me a Rohde and Schwarz (approx $30,000), the thing is when i compare it to the RIGOL MSO5000 i can't justify paying $30k when i could pay $2k when the $2k scope will give me more features and functionality. so it's not about how much it costs it's about what it can do for you

@Infinity hey man. I'm kind of a newb and I'm wondering if you could email me about the process. I promise I won't take up much time. If you let me explain why via email then go would understand. I left a message on your site as well. I'll leave a nice tip if that's alright. I'm known somewhat in the community if you needed someone to vouch for me. I have ptsd and I mix things up sometimes but I really want to buy that scope.

@@martinkuliza I got it man. Thanks a million though! I'm not happy with it I'll tell ya. I should've bought a tektronix mdo second hand instead. The scope seems to battle me whenever I use it and I can never capture waveforms like I can on my 70mhz tektronix tds2002c. The hdmi out sucks and displays in letterbox too. That said, I'm blessed to have it so I'm not ungrateful. I'm going to order the siglent sdg2042x today I think. The 120mhz crack is nice. Is there a way to output a waveform at higher voltages using an arb and another circuit that's isolated from the output? Just the cliff notes and I'll have something to do haha if my question doesn't warrant a smack from a kind person like yourself.

@@jstro-hobbytech No it doesn't warrant a smack :P Re this "I'm not happy with it I'll tell ya. I should've bought a tektronix mdo second hand instead. The scope seems to battle me whenever I use it and I can never capture waveforms like I can on my 70mhz tektronix tds2002c. The hdmi out sucks and displays in letterbox too." THIS DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT I've had my scope now for around 1.5 year, haven't had any of those issues. There has to be a logical reason why you are having it. I suggest this 1. Do a Self Cal (and one point with my DS2000A there was a slow wave update rate. I did a Self Cal and immediately after it was fast again) 2. How does the scope seem to battle you at every step, WHAT SPECIFICALLY , Because i'm confident that we can fix these issues, that they shouldn't even be happening 3. Re the HDMI out, that's an awesome feature, I've never had letterbox happen, i have a 65" TV and i when i connect the scope to it it goes fullscreen. Check the resolution settings in the scope Check your PICTURE MODE on your TV. if it doesn't go letterbox on my TV then it makes logical sense that it shouldn't on yours, if it does. it's a setting . 4. When you say you can't capture waveforms like you can on your Siglent, What does that mean exactly ? Again, for me this thing is going like a champ. i'ts highly weird that you're having the problems that you are. Realistically you should not have had a single problem the only 1 that i can think of that was a problem with me . When you go into the cursor menu On the DS2000A when you enable cursors and select X Mode, the cursors are just there. on the MSO5000 you select X-X Mode and the cursors are not there. it took me 2 weeks to work out that i needed to specify the source for Cursor A and the Source for Cursor B to be CH 1 (for example) that is literally the only issue i had with the scope. the first thing that worked like a champ was the HDMI output The next cool thing was you could hook it up to VNC Viewer without using Ultra Sigma or Web Control adn it's a lot more responsive that way. so yeah, let me know mate, this needs to be worked out and i don't think your scope is a shit scope, i think we just need to work out a few things WHAT FIRMWARE VERSION IS IT ON ?
