@@m_milos I think it does say a lot thou, Productions being unprepared for lasers because no one not one queen has ever incorporated laser into their outfit and that alone says a lot abt Raja's innovation and creativity Like how many seasons of drag race have wow already been filming and most of Raja's look in all stars 7 has been the first to ever grace the stage
@@bamboozledtree6803 even if a queen did incorporate lasers into their look before, i don't think that'd make production permanently set up smoke machines that might help convey potential future laser outfits better. i don't think raja's look got them to do that either.
Raja can make it an exclusive experience if she ever does her own show. This is a look that no one outside of the judges have seen in its full glory. I will pay to see it the way it was intended.
There really aren't many genuine interactions with ru apparently. You hear from the girls all the time Ru would often forget their names and things like that.

Pearl got a bit too in her feelings on that, IMO. I can see why she took it the way she did... But Ru could have been talking about how she needed to show that personality and emotion on camera as well.
@@kosh3501 I think they mean because of the cut of the dress. Iris Van Herpen often has dresses that don't look very natural because what they are based on are the most alien aspects of our world. Coral reefs, bacteria, things that are small or far away, things we haven't all seen much of or would have thought to interpret in that way. The new collection relating to mythos was excellent, I really enjoyed some of the new pieces, quite ethereal as per usual for Iris. Anyways, if someone doesn't have any other way to describe something, they will use the closest thing they personally can think of. And honestly it's obvious why everyone says everything looks similar to an Iris Van Herpen, because it's popular right now. Everyone is trying to emulate a similar alien-esque style, it's in fashion.
i always come to appreciate the queens looks way more after the actual episodes, because the runway just washes them all out in a way. i wish they would do look showcases like on dragula for example
I wish the production would have shown us this momentum because DR fans also deserves Ru commenting and celebrating the queens more. Like in early seasons. Seeing RuPaul gagging over this look would have been iconic.

I'm so lucky I got to meet raja once in a beauty store... he is so beautiful inside and out...I really didn't want to bother him but I knew I had to take the moment when it was there and he was so talkative and I got to tell him how he makes the world a better place 🥰

RAJA we ALL lost our DAMN MIND! it was unbelievable! it was to me a "Sasha Velour win the whole damn season on one moment" moment lol. like that kind of level of artistry and execution. not only did the look slay but YOU slayed in it. it was this otherworldly laser light dress show but still very Raja owning it even in the dark. and those HEELS?! I mean HOW?!

Yeah, her laser look didn’t read as well on camera which was disappointing. It looked like it would’ve been mind blowing in person. But her shoes were amazing!

This pisses me off because we were robbed of both, the reaction and experience. We were robbed of RuPaul’s reaction, especially on a season of her WINNERS, and we were robbed from the experience because its like if production did not prepare the cameras to be able to shoot such look other than dimming the lights.
WHY in the hell would they cut Ru praising Rajas look??? They could’ve included it on untucked or somewhere in the episode? Really a missed opportunity to celebrate Raja and all of the queens. I want to see the real reactions from the judges not the silly one liners they say for each look 😂
There really is no question that she was not shown in a way that she deserved to be. I don't question for one minute that Rue responded in this way. Raja is not one to blow smoke Upper Room butt. The queen that I saw in All Stars was everything wonderful that I had seen in her first season but what made it even better was she's grown into such a mature and spiritual human being. I was pleased that she was recognized and did receive a cash prize if for no other reason to help her be compensated for those amazing costumes. With that said anyone who goes to one of Raj's shows I hope will be given the opportunity to see the beautiful laser dress as it was meant to be.
Seeing that reaction on TV would have been as shocking as the runway itself. It would’ve separated how Ru sees regular queens that compete on the show vs how she sees her legendary children. Same with all the banter and arguing between the queens and the judges that was cut from the show. It would’ve been the icing on the cake for the season, seeing the winners have an impact and a power to do and say whatever they want and seeing everyone losing their sh!t because of it.
i still think Raja performed alot better than given credit for. Shouldve won more challenges, the runways alone blew everyone out of the water. I truly think she shouldve been winner

Raja's requests on the Al and Chuck cruise (Mimi Imfurst's part of the roast) should have tipped RPDR production off that Raja has a plan, that plan is extra, but it's a well thought out plan- get with it and get ready for it.
Still confused on why production felt the need to edit the greatness of the runway down so much? I mean rupaul herself giving a standing ovation for a runway would have been one for the books.
Lasers are pretty harmful to the lens of expensive camera, so in defence of the bad camera footage I understand where they were coming from! BUT if they knew, they should have prepared better tbh
Why do the cut any moment of ru being real. I would have loved to have seen ru loose her mind here. And also the bit cut out of Vivian's roast where she was screaming after a joke
It’s a shame that Ru had that reaction and then didn’t have her win that episode. I thought she was robbed of that and could tell it was better than what they actually showed. I also thought her “I’m Crowning” look the Renaissance King look SLAAAAYYYEEDDD and she didn’t get the credit she deserved for it. Especially since it was a much better take on one of her runways from her season.
But I kinda feel like Ru Paul knows exactly what to say and what not to say on/off camera since he's very curated like that e.g., the whole Pearl fiasco.
