Financing WASH - Business Setups
Cement Ring Making SHG -
These SHG is making a net profit of Rs 12,000 per month.
The combined efforts of 2 SHGs have led to the construction of 219 toilets, 40 water storage tanks, and 86 soak pits, contributing greatly to the area’s sanitation and water management.
Pay & Use Toilet -
In Deosugur, near the Sugereshwar Temple, a local SHG is instilling hygiene and sanitation by running a model toilet facility. It is also creating livelihood and generating income for sustaining the facility.
Cleaning & Sanitation Products -
The Deosugur SHG has a line of sanitation products under the brand name Vision. In 2023-24 the SHG made a net profit of Rs 11,000 per month. Their success has inspired other SHGs, and the officials of National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) have requested for training more SHGs.
WASH Mart -
The SHG runs a ‘Vision WASH Mart’ in Yarigera village, making a net profit of Rs 7500/Month. The Mart is a sales hub for other SHGs making WASH related products.
RO Plant -
Three SHGs have successfully restored defunct government RO plants in Gadhar, Yapaldinni, and Wadawatti villages. These plants now provide safe drinking water to 154 households and generate a net profit of Rs 8,000 per month.
