Their relationship in real life was was actually pretty close to how they appeared in the movie. When they first met, Jackie Chan took his job really seriously while Chris Tucker was often goofing off and partying. After working together, Jackie Chan learned to relax a little while Chris Tucker got more serious about his work.

Chan can definitely still move... at least as of 2017, in the film "The Foreigner". That is a highly recommended film, although it is a much different film. It was one of his most serious roles. It's not light hearted, like most of his previous stuff. It still shows that he's up to it, and he can tackle serious roles, as well as more comedic roles.

Y'all definitely need to finish this trilogy out. Tucker and Jackie are freaking hilarious and awesome together. Also, I'm pretty sure that ankle break happened during Rumble in the Bronx when he jumped on the boat. You can actually see it during the film. Then again, I'm pretty sure he's broken a lot during his years entertaining the world. Gotta love the man.

fun fact while filming the bar fight scene Jackie was completely unaware of the history behind the N-word. After recording the scene he asked Chris Tucker why everyone would be so mad because the scene wasn't making sense to him and after Chris Tucker explained, he was ashamed and vowed to never say it again and that he wouldn't do anymore Rush Hour movies if he had to use that word again.

3 parts of this movie that really make me crack up laughing are: 1. When Carter starts dancing like Michael Jackson in the middle of the street after blowing the car up 2. When Lee and Carter are bonding and practicing disarming techniques while Edwin Starr's song "War" plays in the background 3. When Carter says "I know that ain't the bomb. Get that bomb away from me." Towards the end And Trust me, the blooper reels for the remaining two movies are just as funny when it comes to the slip-ups with the dialogue

The two of them had a very similar friendship in real life as they do in Rush Hour, so that is definitely why the series is so good. The whole "Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?" line was something Chris Tucker said to Jackie the first time they ever met. After they got to know each other, Jackie had a lot more fun on set and Chris took his acting a lot more seriously.

I remember when I first saw this. I was in the mountains on a family vacation. We went to the small video rental store halfway up the mountain and rented this on vhs. The part where Carter yells to get your shit and get out the door was the funniest thing me and my brother ever saw. We must have rewound it 30 times to watch that part again.

"Rumble in the Bronx" is the movie where he jumped from 1 building to a order. But he didn't have to do it twice. He did it in 1 take. He broke his ankle jumping on to a Hovercraft. He still had shots/stunts to do, so they made him a sock to look like his other shoe so he can finish the movie.

Aside from the MIB trilogy the rush hour trilogy are the quintessential buddy cop movies. While the jokes would most likely get people cancelled these days at the heart are two different people that overcome their differences when they have common cause.

And YES, I don't give a damn what people think: It would be AWESOME if y'all reacted to the "Fast & Furious" movies. Just to watch that series slowly but surely lose its mind lol. Tho to be fair "Fast Five" is definitely one of the best overall action movies of the 2010s; just has that healthy balance of over-the-top action, while still being somewhat grounded.

54:40 Fun fact if anyone was curious. The reason why that's a blooper and then Chris Tucker came in and added more to it was because of this. The original line by Lee in the movie was, "I suspect Juntao is behind this." But in this blooper Jackie accidentally said, "I suspect Sooyun is behind..." and then he burst out laughing because he flubbed the line. Chris striding in comedically because he saw Jackie messing up and then asking "What's up with your daughter??" made it funnier unintentionally.

The point you were asking about urban survival guy is the guy who does the Detroit urban survival tactics or dust and he's fake, the moves he shows have been warned against by actual fighters and he's capitalized on people who who don't train. There's a guy who has a channel called Steven strangles people who is very real and commentary is awesome I'd highly recommend if interested. Have a great day

Never doubt, Jackie ALWAYS does his own stunts..watch Rumble in the Bronx..he literally broke his ankle on a jump, and then continued to film the movie with a Nike? shoe cast..LOL Great reaction. I think if you want a beautiful film, you should check out out Dragon Blade with Jackie Chan and John Cusack..such an amazing film!

Some Jackie Chan movies I know Jane will love and will give you nostalgia. Rumble In The Bronx, and Who Am I? Chris Tucker movies to watch is Friday, The Fifth Element, and one of the most under rated Money Talks. Great franchise movies to watch Lethal Weapon, Bad Boys, and Eddie Murphy’s Beverly Hills cop. You both will not be disappointed at all.

“Fake Michael Jackson music”, as REAL Michael Jackson music plays lol. Anyway, this flick is a Stone cold classic. I love the trilogy, tho for me, the first one is the overall best one, in terms of balancing the comedy and action. Second one has the best action IMO, but the comedy isn’t as strong. Third one felt phoned in. But still, such an enjoyable action comedy with great chemistry between Chan and Tucker

Fun Fact: Chris Tucker is a trained Martial Artist, and he said that he saw that Jackie Chan wasn't that good at martial arts so he taught him some of his moves from his technique that he calls 'Black Chi'.

I got to meet Mark Rolsten (FBI Agent Russ) a year ago. He told me that after the film wrapped up, Jackie Chan rented out the Planet Hollywood restaurant (I don't which one) to throw a party. Mark brought his family with him and said that Jackie was really kind and friendly to his wife and kids.

You guys should check out the futuristic action/comedy that Chris Tucker is in "The Fifth Element" (1997). Bruce Willia & Mila Jovovich also star. "Rush Hour 4" has been gaining some traction recently. My current favorite seltzers: "AHA: Orange & Grapefruit" and "Waterloo: Grape".🥤Bubly used to be my favorite.🙂

The axe noises. That's foley. A foley artist recreates realistic sounds for films. (Oh, and i've done EOD and mine disposal training. I literally do walk around with cutters on me every time i leave the house. It's not far fetched. I have 3 different multitools in 3 different locations. Home, Work, Belt.)

They goof up at the start. The guy was selling c4 and it was some how detonated by a gunshot which in reality is completely impossible as its a very very stable high explosive and can only be detonated by an electrical charge. Its so stable that in vietnam soldiers used to set fire to it and cook food on it.

Ankle is from a bridge to an aircraft machine (Jacly in the bronx, i don't remember original title) he also almost died on armour of god from head trauma, and fractured sternum on armour of god 2 I think that was his worst injuries

You missed the connection. Sang (Blonde headed man) says to Carter “Wipe yourself you’re bleeding” when Carter shoots Sang dead he says “Wipe yourself. You’re dead”. If you enjoyed watching Jackie Chan teaming up with Chris Tucker in this film then you’ll enjoy Jackie Chan teaming up with Owen Wilson in Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights. (In that order Noon then Knights). FYI Jackie Chan was supposed to be in the Twin Towers on September 11 when the planes hit but the script wasn’t ready and so the shoot was cancelled.

The Die Hard movies would be great. (Not the fifth one, though.) However,I should tell you that I wouldn't really classify them as comedy. And even though the Lethal Weapon movies are the epitome of "buddy cop" movies, they're really more serious action than they are comedy (despite their being definite comedic elements to them); they aren't comedic on the level of the Rush Hour movies.

Parkour -- originally spelled parcours -- has been around since 1968. The Edwin Starr version of "War" is the best-known, but you should check out the recording by the Temptations as well. C-4 actually is inert. It has to be properly detonated. Not even a bullet fired into it will cause it to explode. Good device for purposes of the movie, though. Jackie Chan has always done his own stunts. In Hong Kong, there are no safety nets or other safety devices. Martial artists in movies suffer nasty injuries. It's never stopped Jackie, though. Jackie is unlike other martial artists in movies. In most of them, the actors/martial artists are ultra-serious and never show any pain. Jackie sometimes looks as if he's afraid he won't make it, is a comedian, and gets hurt. No one compares. No one else would show bloopers and laugh at himself. Also, everyone else uses the wide gestures and long kicks of the northern styles. Jackie, being from Hong King with its narrow alleys, bases his style on wing-chun, using short punches and un-fancy kicks. Loved your reaction.
