I was an avid listener for 31 years and much of the 20/20 audience never understood Rush. That is fine. Millions of us did understand Rush and we love him even more in his passing. Because we know the worth of who he was and grew as a host, a human being and a lover of all things American. Most importantly the FREEDOM to say what you think no matter who you may be. The FREEDOM of ideas and then the AUDIENCE DECIDES what they believe or not. If you don't agree that is perfectly American not to agree. And you are FREE to say so. This is what is being lost in America. This is what is trying to be extinguished in America. We cannot allow that to happen. We continue to rally around the Constitution and keep it alive. It is the Constitution that protects and gives FREEDOM for all speech. The moment you limit or cancel someone based on opinion then your opinion and speech will be next. EIB will continue through those Rush helped launch their careers and the millions of Rush babies out there who will make their mark in America. We love you Rush. You are PROFOUNDLY missed. Your legacy continues.
Beautifully said. He is without a doubt an American treasure and will be missed by many. His values and wisdom will resonate for decades to come. Talent has returned to god.
If he was a liberal, they’d already have a bio pic in production. His life story is ripe for s film. He was the #1 radio host in America, maybe the world, for decades. He’s a conservative though so there will be no further media ventures about him. He really was one of a kind. I’ve been watching old episodes of his show from like 1994 and and never changed. He was still talking about the same issues in 94 that he was in 2021. Liberals never change. He was number 1 all the way till he died. He’s the most consistent entertainment personality in my life. I’m glad there’s tons and tons of video and audio that he left behind to be enjoyed
I was a fan from the first time I heard him over 24 years ago. My heart aches with loss because of the love that Rush inspired in his audience. He was the best friend I never met. Though he may have departed from us The words of a wise man will live forever. I'll never forget the lessons he taught. If ones opinion about any person is based only on what their detractors say, (sandwiched in just enough soundbite to validate said opinion), then you are an ass. To be led and used by the cunning and deceitful. God, let us not give in to darkness and hate.
Very well said. Remember folks, if you don't like the guy or what he says then change the station to something else or turn it off. I like most of what Rush says but I have my disagreements with him on some topics.
look how polite the media use to be not like msnbc now. Good questions and a fun discussion. You can tell Barbara does not agree but she is fair about it.
For some reason, Walters was cut off at the start. If I recall correctly, she said, "He's the man they listen to at the White House, even though may seldom agree with him."
This interview shows how "journalists" slant their interviews. Her questions were one accusation after another. An interview with someone like Jon Stewart or Larry King wouldn't have gone that way.
Indeed, this is a sad day everywhere for racists, misogynists, fascists, nazis, proudboys, fake christians, tRump cultists and many other unsavory characters.
Barbara always was soft for rockstars. @1:15 after he spouts his lines he winks at the camera like he didn't mean anything he was saying, that's because he was a right-wing gatekeeper, he never accomplished anything positive for the American people, he ran his mouth for 30yrs and nothing was even slowed down much less stopped or changed. He was an offshoot of Cointel-pro, once his operation Chaos role out of the Laurel Canyon crew was finished in '71 he took on a new role as Rush instead of Jim Morrison.
I agree that he's a good communicator too and that he works hard at what he does but I am a Democrat and I strongly disagree with his views. I don't want the president to fail. I think it's un-american to want that.
Of he isn't, at @1:15 after he spouts his lines he winks at the camera like he didn't mean anything he was saying, that's because he was a right-wing gatekeeper, he never accomplished anything positive for the American people, he ran his mouth for 30yrs and nothing was even slowed down much less stopped or changed.
