I went almost my entire life thinking Rush was a racist who hated black people, simply because this is what I was told growing up. One day, while on lunch, I decided to listen to the show. I remember saying aloud, "What the hell? This guy isn't a racist!" I've been a conservative ever since and I've been listening ever since.
This comment deserves to be at the very top! I had a different background, and started listening to Rush on my own when I was 13-14, because he was entertaining, and funny. It was culture shock later, running into people who wouldn't dream of tuning into any talk radio, using Rush's name almost like a vicious swear word. The demonic racist "Rush Limbaugh" they used as an epithet bore no resemblance to the good-humored conversationalist I knew quite well. Weird, how much of a difference actually listening to someone can make. I try to apply that lesson to life in general...
I loved rush since I was 18 years old at the time, when we had only a13 TV channels and it was the best for all of us to watch but most of my friends would lesson to his radio show. Thank you Rush without you I would not be what I Am to day . No one will inject their opinion to my brain (I have to research first before I get caught to any politicians BS tangles .
WasatchMan, The right question would have been what were the Republican Senate and House doing the last eight years. And how much are they delaying President Trump. They had eight years to come up with a better health care plan so where is it? And all these politicians from both sides better remember that we are watching them and will vote them out if they don't support our president.
President Trump has not had his cabinet approved. Congress needs to start much of the change and they are either dragging their feet (Republicans) or fighting Trump's agenda tooth and nail(Democrats) The establishment and media are still against him and us.
Rush Limbaugh is absolutely by far, the greatest voice on political spectrum there has ever been. He makes so much sense. You have to be crazy to vote democrat.

I hope people realize what we lost when we lost rush. My husband and I listened to him 30 years. He was so knowledgeable what he didn't know wasn't in the book. Rest with Jesus rush.
For you people who attack Rush... Let me point out to you that there has to be some sort of balance in the media. It is everyone's right to choose who they wish to side with. Rush is a voice for the right. Just one voice. There are a lot more radio stations who have become conservative but Rush is the grand daddy of conservative talk radio. This serves to balance political viewpoints. Radio is cheaper and believe it or not, more people trust talk shows on the radio than they do on TV. And it is rather obvious that liberals as well as conservatives listen to both sources, Talk Radio and Televised News. Otherwise people wouldn't know about Rush. Rush once stated that if it were not for liberals, he wouldn't even be on the air. His ratings would fall if liberals stopped listening and calling his show to oppose him. That explains why newspapers get more subscribers as well. Even though they are fake news, more conservatives are buying the papers just to see how bad the news media really is. It's not more liberals buying the news. LOL. You liberals need to wise up to how the world spins. hehe
Limbaugh has been damn near 100% on Trump since the start, and he's correct now. Chris did himself a favor having Rush on. (And it didn't hurt POTUS either)
Dang Chris Matthews ruins every Sunday . He's okay but Sunday should have someone more charismatic, kind, entertaining, personable, but nope , you don't have that. So tired of it. Surely you can understand how nasty Chris has been over and over. .....Sun after Sun.
To hear Wallace speak, it is more important to "pass some piece of legislation (no matter WHAT the substance)" than to take the proper amount of time to pass something with substance that HELPS THE COUNTRY. Wallace misses the boat completely.
I have to admit, ever since I was a kid and my dad listened to Rush all the time, I've loved listening to him talk and I love the WAY he talks, meaning the sound of his voice and also his sense of humor cracks me up. That being said, I agree with almost nothing he has to say. He's about as extreme as they come, and if any of you think you're getting unfiltered and true NEWS from this guy you are out of your heads. Nope, Rush is grasping for straws and has been for a long time. He's funny though, and I like listening to him talk.
El Rushbo was the most insightful , prophetic , knowledgeable man who was truly using his talent on loan from GOD I will be forever grateful to have him as my teacher for many years bless you brother
