Thanks Guys. I've seen work done by Russ and it is very good. "In the beginning God crated the heavens and the earth". It is an error to underestimate the power and glory of The True and Living God. Those who believe what this world says about creation can also be tricked into believing that God did not become a man and pay the price for all sin. Remember just a little leaven corrupts the whole loaf. This is an insight given by The Lord God in His Word as a warning about the world trying to corrupt His Holy Word. "Those who trust The Lord shall not be ashamed".. P.S. Very much look forward to next wks. program. If I wasn't so old I would go on a tour of the Grand Canyon that Russ hosts. I've seen them on Video and they are very good.

I saw a program the other day which at the beginning spoke of millions and billions of years but then went into the "possible evidence" of a HUGE flood. They have decided they need to adjust their narrative. I just laughed and changed the channel. Praise the Lord!
Chuck Missler has a teaching that indicates the original meaning for the Hebrew word used for Morning and Evening , may have meant Chaos and Order. On the 7th day God ceased from His Works , there is no Evining and Morning ( Chaos and Order ) . EVERYTHING was Perfect and good . Morning ends at Noon , Evening begins around 6pm . Missing 6 hours for a 24 hour day !
I find it funny when my fellow Christians are so insistent that the Bible should be taken literally (specifically in Genesis), but are completely unwilling to research the flat earth theory, despite the fact that there are over 200 verses describing a flat, stationary earth.
@@ericw5964 Tell that to the Christians and Jews who believed in the flat earth model for more than 5,500 years, until their gullible children were convinced by occult priests and magicians to believe in the heliocentric, globe earth model. I've done the study for myself, and it's painfully obvious that the scriptures demonstrate a flat earth. Most Christians are so caught up in the lies of this world, that you'd rather believe the priests at NASA, than the Word of God.

@@wearemikej sure it does, 'scientists' , usually, step outside of the bounds of science ( repeatable testing and observance of the facts) and jump into the realm of philosophy. The 'science' usually referenced, is largely macro evolution which has more holes in the theory than a colander

I’ll help you…’macro’ is most commonly used to denote change from a simple form to a complex ( or changing from one kind/specials to another )& to differentiate it from micro which is more commonly used , to describe the obvious, changes within a form/kind/species over time ). It’s laughable to consider neo-darwinistic evolution when it’s studied objectively….instead of how it is too often taken as fact when it’s very basis is extremely flawed and can’t work .
I believe the Bible and in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. But could there have been an actual 24 hour day before the sun was created on the 4th day?
Well, technically speaking, days are not linked to the sun. They are linked to Earth's 24 hour rotation. We measure that by our relation to the sun in those 24 hours. The sun is to a day as a measuring cup is too flour. The flour exists regardless of the cup. The cup just helps measure. In much the same way, the Sun just helps measure the day that is already there.
He certainly could have made everything in an instant, all at once, but since "time" was created for us, I believe He did it to establish the "week", whereby a reference for observing the Sabbath. 🙂
Adults in 2019. Wow! With all due respect: read & learn about facts. And pleeeeease don't try to poison future generations with this anymore. Thankfully, the kids get smarter and smarter by the second and sooner or later this insanity will only be a bad memory. And, btw: the people who's book you're talking about (the Jews), don't take it literally either. They know we didn't literally come from one couple,to then multiply via incest to populate the earth; They know the earth doesn't have a solid firmament as a dome over it and that you can't have light before there were stars or plants before there was light etc. etc. (as is the order of creation, according to genesis). The Hebrews understood and understand that Adam and Eve, the talking snake, the apple and _'the fall of man'_ is all poetic STORY-TELLING (to try and explain the sufferings and hardships of life, for instance) NOT to be taken literally, but as an important message nonetheless (in this case: _'this is why there's suffering, and worshiping god is how to deal with that')_ To them (and everyone else) it truly is ridiculous to take it literally and those, selling it as such, being quite obvious snake oil sales-people.

Why on earth would you think that? And, btw: If life on this planet _indeed_ procreated via non-sexual reproduction, wouldn't you still say that god created it that way? Don't get me wrong; I mean I _know_ what the arguments for intelligent (instead of natural) design are (cause really: no-one is saying that life isn't designed. The question is whether it's _natural_ processes doing so, or an intelligent being, right? And then there's this other thing: Say I (or anyone else) couldn't explain how life started (which we still don't really understand) and/or why its mechanism consists of sexual reproduction: The answer doesn't become _'a god must have done it'._ the answer would be: _"We don't know (yet)",_ or at least for those who are honest about it, cause: You ask me to explain things, in the mindset that I couldn't explain it, as if this means that you're logically, rationally justified to believe in your creator god. *It truly, honestly **_doesn't_** work like that, my friend!* Me, not knowing something about the workings of nature, doesn't mean you're right, or even justified to believe _god-magic_ did it. Cause that's what it comes down to, doesn't it? Anyway: Why do _you_ think we've got sexual procreation? (btw: nature has examples of non-sexual procreation too: so: both exist, just like one would expect if it were purely and amazingly awesome _natural_ processes at work. It's how less pleasant stuff like cancer, (or whatever horrid decease), viruses, parasites etc. exists too. Or how do you explain a benevolent god, creating these too?

I am an old earth creationist. I believe the Bible is literal. However the word Yom Hebrew for day can be used to represent a 12 hour period, a 24 hour period a finite but long period of time. "In the day God made heaven and earth." Genesis 2:4. In Psalm 90 Moses says that a day to God is as a thousand years. In Isaiah 57:15 God says that He inhabits eternity. I am a creationist. I believe God created all things. But the Bible describes a long period of time. Psalm 90 compares God's agelessness to the ancient mountains. I am 64. If the universe is only 6000 years old, then I am over 1% the age of universe. That is a pretty long time. But if the earth is 4.57 billion years old, then I can understand the greatness of God. God bless you. I am a creationist but Gave us 2 books of revelation. 1. The creation. 2. God's word. They should agree if they are both books of truth.
The verses say it was evening and morning and the next day. Those words cannot be misinterpreted. They are 6 literal days of creation followed by a day of rest.
Ted Bates Ex. 20: 8 - 11 is about keeping the sabbath day, keeping the 7th day holy, which also includes abstaining from work. For in 6 days the Lord made heaven and earth and everything in them. Now if we apply "a thousand years is like a day to the Lord and a day like a thousand years" to the creation, that would be a very long rest for the Israelites where there would have been no sowing and reaping. Nope, I believe in a 24/6-day creation.
