I'm an ex addict and Russel is certainly right when he mentions the lack of sleep that comes with kicking the habit.I wound up in a treatment center for a few months and the first month I barely slept a wink.The "kicking" thing is like restless leg syndrome except it extends over your whole body if you can imagine that.Not an enjoyable process.
I've been binging all of the interviews I can find with him and one thing that I love about him is no matter what show he is on and how many celebrities he's sitting with he ALWAYS shows so much attention to the audience, I love that! That's showing respect to the fans there 😍

I absolutely love this guy. He's a rare individual; the type that is outspoken and confident but is not intimidating. He's absolutely funny and it's obvious that he takes his former demons very seriously.
It's crazy to see how much Russell has changed. He's 100 miles an hour here with his crazy and witty snap back comments whereas now he is much more chilled out! I used to love this old version of him when I watched him, especially watching him on BBBM but now I prefer the more mellow version of him.
While I can understand you saying that, I think that America produces just as much good comedy as the UK. The difference is that America also produces an awful lot of shit comedy, much more so than the UK, so the quality seems diluted.

Its more of a personal preference too. I mean some people think Dane Cook is the funniest man on the planet. I prefer Eddie Izzard and Billy Connolly to name a few.
It's amazing how Russell can switch between incredibly erudite, egregious and a little bit superfluous, to just a jolly old London bloke, all normal like!
It was insane that so many people complained! I live in the uk and i heard the phone message and i couldnt understand what the fuss was about!!! Basically a few people complained and then the press went mental talking about it everyday and before you knew it thousands had complained it was so stupid!! They are great together! You should watch the big fat quiz of the year 2006 & 2007!! It was more about the BBC alowing it to be broadcast that was the main problem but the press focussed on them!
Ok you're right. Apparently NBC Universal copyrighted it and blocked it worldwide. Pretty sure NBC was an American company... I have no idea what's going on.
