This is one of my favourite interviews, Paul is so lovely. He makes such a valid point about Russell at the end as well. As far as I'm concerned, haters and tabloids don't give Russ nearly enough credit for what he's achieved and how hard it was for him to get there. He's a gorgeous, charismatic man - scandals aside, he is genuinely brilliant.
What a a human, entertaining show. They all talk as though they have known each other for years - playful, funny; delightful. Russell Brand is actually quite a genuinely nice guy.
I love Russell Brand and am fascinated by him. Whether he's doing stand-up, acting in a movie, appearing on a talk show or getting caught by TMZ, his essential goodness shines through--which is why he's so successful!
Paul O'Grady expresses my sentiments exactly. The guy will always be a legend for what he has achieved and overcome and what he continues to achieve and overcome.
I love the Paul O'Grady Show! He has a wicked sense of humour and comes across as a very nice person. I never used to like Russell Brand but took notice of him after he wrote the lovely words about Amy Winehouse after she died. He is actually very funny and has a great way with words. A winning duo on this programme in my opinion!
what paul said at the end is exactly what ive been telling russell haters( i know...how?) for ages. its so true and he deserves more respect from the tabloids than he currently gets :)
I thoroughly enjoy the talented Paul O'Grady and his book makes a fantastic read. I can clearly understand how this show was a winner at the National Television Awards in 2008. Russell Brand is very watchable also.
aww!thats a such a sweet thing at the end when the host said such nice things about russell. so true, he has achieved so much but people seem to neglect that achievement sadly. they focus too much on his persona--once you get past that its really hard to dislike the guy and suprising he is not rude complte contrast to what you might think. i am also curious--he does a wayw tih words--he did say he didnt really go to school or he was that good of a student--how excatly is he so well read ??
i've got the book and the dvd and they are fab and highly reccomended to any russell fan. i love russell and parts of his book brought me to tears. some things that he has been through and triumphed over are amazing. the pics in it are sweet too. if any of you have it look at the one of him as a baby in the incubater his hair has already started to form the russell look with his lil tuft of hair stuck up. he's great i love him!!!
aw that was really sweet what Paul said to Russell at the end :) and so true. and I must say I think Russell is looking rather fabulous in this vid too!
Paul does say something very poignant here: about Russell overcoming addiction and hardship - and still remaining a gentleman, an intelligent and genuine individual. I don't think enough people see it that way, haters especially need to get the facts before jumping to conclusions about Russell Brand.
I could watch Russell brand all day. Infact I've been binge watching most of his crazy shit ere on the RU-vid stuffs. It's great. If we could ask let our inner Russell loose on the world it would be a better place, a bit bonkers, but great. My inner Russell comes out at home, but wouldn't dare do it in the real world. Drive my family mad with my antics. 😁😁
I don't understand peoples obsession with celebrity either but i find Russel Brand quite intelligent and has an excellent vocabulary which he uses thoughtfully. I would enjoy his Booky Wooky because I myself have overcome addictions and a reckless lifestyle, I just find people that live their lives to the extreme more interesting than others who have done everything very correctly.
When he and matt morgan were talking about russell writing a book matt joked "what you gonna call it my booky wooky" but russell must of decided to change it to just my booky wook.
I think he's rather funny but one thing I am jealous of is his way with words, he seems to know everyone word in the English dictionary and how to use them.
