Nobody ever did this improvised, extemporaneous zany better on American television than Craig Ferguson. He was good at bringing this out of his guests who all seemed a little intimidated how he never ran out of steam with always a quip back. I knew he couldn't sustain that level forever and to expect him to is wrong. It was brilliant to watch.

Russell Brand is a recovering drug user (heavy drug user to hear him tell it) and one of his favorite things to do is to take homeless people out to dinner and then bring them to a local AA group meeting. He might be off the wall, but that may be what got him into drugs in the first place (self-medication and all that), and I respect him trying to help mentally ill or addicted homeless folks one person at a time. Better than what a lot of people are doing to help them (read: nothing).

It was more like: His personality is so radical, yet there is an underlying structure from which it derives. He says some crazy thing, but what he says is chosen carefully.

The only reason i laughed during the video is due to him jumping around on that chair getting all excited like his dream drink was really going to come true.

..It is one of fav books. Whether your Scottish, American or Tazmanian, it won't matter. I only put it down to eat and sleep..it is the most honest memoir I have ever read..it's funny, dark, really touching. This is so cliched, but I promise you wil laugh out loud (many times), and I sobbed in parts. Plus, it really shows off what a whip smart guy he is. Idon't even really watch Ferguson's show (it's alright), but damn that book was good. I'll shut up now, sorry.

@Messoppolis no no but an english accent is anything. in england we have plenty of different accents, scouse accents, brummy accents, yorkshire accents, geordie accents, cockney accents, posh accents, common accents, chavvy accents, mancunian accents such as myself. i know a few people from ireland that don't even have that strong of an accent and you can't tell, and republic of ireland isn't even in britain.
