I guess people who think of westbrick right now forget that this guy broke a single season triple double record and is the all time leader in triple doubles.
When Russ had the bald fade in the early 2010s, That was when he was in his athletic peak, that Russ was jumping out the gym🔥🔥🔥🔥Prime Russ was so much fun to watch in my middle school days
I feel bad for the people that just got into NBA these last couple of years and missed out on this version of Russ compared to the one they get to see now.
He’s clearly not the same Russ but he gets so much unnecessary hate and always has tbh, even in his prime. It’s sad to see how little they respect such greatness
@@elizabethm.9617 Its the media bandwagon people. They dont know nothing about basketball, heck majority dont even watch the whole game and just watches the highlights and boxscore
23-24 is the first NBA season I’m following and my biggest regret is not getting into basketball earlier so I could witnessed the old guard at their peak.
Man the memories… I remember watching that buzzer beater against the nuggets, that season still gives me chills. I’m so glad I was able to grow up watching prime Russ & witness such greatness 🙏🏽
This man put up 37,30 and like 27 pts and had a game winning block in a playoff series on a season ppl said he was washed? Clowns don’t realize he’s not washed and still a top guard imo in this league
Appreciate ur video!!!! I've been a fan of Russ for a long time but when he joined lakers or maybe wizards he got so many disrespects. I still think prime Russ can sneak into top15 all time. Hope he gets ring next year!
Russ was always my favorite player growing up and even though I've seen a ton of these highlights live, they still amaze me every time. Russ was something special man.
At 1:07 the way he heading with the monkey like pose in the air and the face expression as he throws the no-look pass after crossing up somebody before that and making him look totally clueless as of what was going on is one of my favorite plays ever!
It’s crazy how good Russ was , I stopped watching NBA for a few years during his prime so I didn’t get to see him play in OKC . He reminds me of prime D rose
Prime Russ shows you the impact of confidence and self-belief. He's not the most skilled player or best shooter, but when he was confident for a solid 5-6 years, he was a force to reckon with.
westbrook was ELECTRIC - i feel like a boomer but there's not many players who are as exciting to watch as prime westbrook nowadays, old school type of electric player
I swear Russell Westbrook is the Mike Tyson of the NBA. Such a Verocious competitor os smaller statue but packs a giant punch & vety explosive. Physical insane specimen 😮
Damn, prime russ when he used to be not scared to shoot and when he had to pull a shot from somewhere, he would actually make it most of the time. Combine that with his crazy athleticism at the time too.
Russ was a freak. Elite passer, slasher and TD machine. Of course his turnovers and shooting were flaws, but overall in his prime top 3 PG in the league
You missing his 3 pointer off Steven Adams own rebound and free throw miss vs Houston on the playoffs, and literally all his highlights when he played with Houston. Not to add any Wizards highlights since he wasnt on "his prime" that season yet averaged a triple double that year.
Who'd had thought after watching these highlights that one day he'll become "WESTBRICK" ...That's the thing about legacies, people only remember u for ur last actions. Your only as good as ur last game!
