I am an American Citizen born in Bulgaria..Russian people are the greatest friends once you build a friendship with them they will value you forever ..
@@karloalberti that's honesty and that's awesome, i prefer a potential friend to tell me right in the beginning he doesn't want to be friends rather than being fake friends
5:45: "Hahaha, I never think about it.... am I sound dangerous?" *She says with a smile as she takes a long hit from the cigarette, reloads her pistol and grabs the duct tape and leather gloves*
I like the Russian language it sounds cool to me i think it’s sexy when a woman speaks it and when men speak it they always sound like a badass you would not want to mess with
Or at least think twice before doing so. Meh, it's an American thing, think twice before you walk into an ass-kicking so you at least know what you're walking into.
To be fair, what you said is more intuitive. The "sounding like" is a "being" more than a"doing". You "do the sounding", but the "likeness of the sounding" is "how it *is*".
I was in the Berlin area many years ago while stationed in Germany and of all the friends I made that weekend, I had the best time with the russians. Great people to meet, specially if you are partying. The girls are lovely and the dudes are SOLID. I found that scary stereotype, while it fits some people, is not to be used generally. Also, no you do not sound threatening at all, most of us here find you wholesome and lovely
Personally I like the way the Russian the accent sounds. I will say though that it sounds very aggressive to me. I had a friend who's grandfather was from Russia (I don't remember where in Russia) who didn't speak English and even though he was 80 years old at the time, every time he spoke to me I thought he was about to whoop my ass, even though he was just asking me if I liked the soup he made or what my name was since it's Spanish (Ricardo Guerra) or if I was planning on spending the night, etc.
That's true: in a lot of Hollywood films, all the villains are always either German Nazis or Russians. Since America doesn't have a long history, it can only use these two main countries as tropes in films, which is kind of unfortunate since it produces a lot of stereotypes. But oh well...that's entertainment for people! I heard from my Russian friend that in some movies where Russians are the enemies, the Hollywood movie will not even use proper Russian. For example, in a Jason Bourne movie, he's suppose to have a Russian passport, but when he opens it to show the camera, it's just random letters. Also, a lot of Hollywood actors/actress can't do a Russian accent 😂
@Jack Well, since an actor/actress must wait to receive a script, read it over, read the character description, audition for the role, and sign a contract between their agent, lawyer, and the production studio, I imagine they'd have to put in A LOT of time, effort, and energy to make the film as realistic as possible, so having to "speak like a commie" is more of an artistic dedication than it is anything else.
Not true Oleg Mashkov plays in mission impossible Ghost Protocol he plays good Russian guy! Who is a real Russian actor! And there’s many more! But with that being said, most Russians don’t wanna play bad guys in general that’s why sometimes they use people with different nationally. Like, Ilya lagutenko said “why would try and get acting in America all I would be offered is bad guy roles!” That would be a very boring career.
Russian confuses me a lot. When men speak it, it sounds intimidating and rough but when women speak it, it sounds very cute and feminine. The same is true for German, but the difference is less obvious.
To me both sound dangerous, one is about to beat me up, the other one is about to bring me to a place where the russian guys wil beat me up. Italian on the other hand.... They dont sound menacing at all!
It is the problem in your brain about Russian men. You grew up watching movies where all the gangsters are always Russian guys. Therefore, your brain automatically perceives Russian men as intimidating. I am a Russian guy, so sweet and handsome that my beautiful Swedish girl friend even forgot that I am a Russian
the skit in a fish called wanda when she asked the English guy to speak french and he said Russian is much sexier and spoke some Russian and Jame Curtis loses it was a great scene
That was funny. I for a short time could almost speak it to the point where Russians thought I was from Russia. I went back to an old art class I used to go to say hi to the teacher. There was a young Russian girl there. We started speaking in Russian. The teacher came up and said I didn't know you knew Russian. Although, after that I started to forget it, because I was yelled at by a boss after being identified as a Russian worker which confused him.
@@atomicphilosopher6143 Well, you can take any angle or point of view as you wish, that is for sure. But however you choose it, i can tell you that your reception of what you think is the truth, simply not match with the reality of russia as it is shown in this video ! I do not argue about your reception as an american about the topic, how russian stereoptypes are spreaded in the US. I am just sharing my opinion of what i consider to be a cheap and foolish made video about those stereotypes, and that i am shocked how easy it is to entertain the american audience. And just for the records, i am neither russian or american, i am a global citizen originated from italy !
@@michelepes4187 - Yeah, but this is comedy. Is it possible that you just don't understand our sense of humor? Most of these are considered pretty light-side comedians in the US.
@@michelepes4187 Also, yeah, I get the global citizen thing. I'm an American living in Japan who has been to seven countries in Europe as well. I haven't been to Russia yet but I have Russian friends and I've worked with them as well. The Russian language just sounds crazy to Americans.
In my highschool, there were two sets of unrelated, twin brothers. One pair were from Russia and the other from Romania. When they spoke English, all of them sounded intimidating. But they were four of the nicest, most humble people I have ever met to this day. Their sisters were just as sweet, and had voices and accents that could have made them fortunes with certain kinds of phone services. One of the Romanian girls would moan suggestively whenever she ate chocolate.😂
Back in the early 1980s there was a TV show called SCTV (which stands for Second City Television). The show was set in a local TV station in a small town in Canada. There was one episode in which the Russian government took over the station broadcast. They used that premise to do a bunch of parodies of Soviet TV shows. The episode is called "CCCP 1." ( I don't know how to send it to you. There's a video of it on RU-vid, but the quality is not great.)
I think he should have clarified big Russian guys' accents sound intimidating.. but Russian women mostly just sound super seductive. I think a lot of the fear stems from the constant Russian/Albanian bad guys in movies.. especially during the 80s and 90s when Russia was a rough place. Russian women have always been notoriously beautiful though.
every time you say Aww it seems you generally care about their feelings and it melts my heart, This is my first time seeing any of your videos- Subscribed
No you don't sound dangerous you actually sound very friendly, I think what he meant by Russian's sound dangerous is some Russian women have deeper voices and stone cold faces and so do the men and that look + their accent and language makes them more intimidating XD But I'm sure this isn't for all Russians.
The last guy you reacted to was Dan Soder. He is a literal walking master-class in impressions. I did a podcast episode with him while I was still in that awful line of work, and talking to him while doing his "Macho Man" Randy Savage impression is one of the highlights of my adult life. lol
@@Jess-737 Nonsensicalvids seems like he might be an America hater, but I was just saying the stereotype of Russians being tough scary guys is an American one that doesn't necessarily exist in other countries. Not that big a deal, and nothing to get bent out of shape for. I love America by the way.
@@Jess-737 I do have numerous american friends, infact most of my friends are american, yes I did generalize that, but why be so offended by what I said. I apologise for what I said.
A lot of these jokes are just stereotypes. Some people do believe them but most is just old fears and from Hollywood movies. In school there was a Ukrainian guy and he was one of my best friends at the time. Or at my first job there was a old Russian guy and he would always help if you asked him. He also had some pretty crazy stories lol. Have you seen any Kreosan videos? They are pretty fun if you like watching people do crazy things
lol, I have known Russell Peters since he was about 14 years old. Grew up in the same area, and one of his DJs, "DJ Starting From Scratch aka Mark Gagnon" and I have been really good friends for nearly 30 years. Unfortunately, Russell's other DJ, Spinbad, just passed away a few weeks ago. Funny seeing him on this channel.
Oh my gosh! This is my favorite video of yours. Watching you laugh at these guys making fun of the Russian accent is so cute! By the way, Irina, I would never think your accent is anything but smoking hot!😍
