Mongols are very nice and welcoming people, but when it's needed they look very tough! It's very interesting combination! No wonder they had the half of the known World in their power once in the history! I like my stay in Mongolia, I didn't expect it would be colder than Russia though haha! (at least any European city in Russia)

Sergey, Please kindly change this video title and stop calling yourself a "refugee." YOU are not a refugee. The UKRAINIANs your fellow Russians invaded and started slaughtering civilians causing them to need to flee for their lives - THOSE UKRAINIANS ARE REFUGEES!! You are just a draft dodger fleeing from mobilization. I am glad you left Russia, BUT YOU ARE NOT A REFUGEE!!!

Welcome to Mongolia, Sergey! As I am a Mongolian living in Canada, I would advise you not to hang around with people drinking vodka, and be careful in certain neighborhoods. Like every country, we have both bad and good people. It's better to find someone local Mongolian who speaks Russian and get some tips and advice about in what neighborhoods you have to be careful and where is safe to shop for grocery etc. I wonder those local Red Cross staff members ever help you get connected with someone who speaks Russian. Please ask the Red Cross staff members to help you get connected with a local Mongolian, who speaks Russian.

The rule for not selling alchohols in the first days of the months is to encourage people to pay their bills and spend money on important stuff as most get their salaries on the first day of month. Also, getting driving license in Mongolia is quite easy and the proper international licenses are agreed throughout the world(EU, US) Some translations: Kids were saying they just started learning russian this year in school and asked if you wanted to play volleyball with them. And the reception woman was encouraging you to say Thank you more just as a friendly banter. And those drinking men were in awe about how you were drinking the vodka. Saying "That is how it's supposed to go down" It was great to see your insight. Hope you have a great time in my country!

Just be a good example to them so they can see that Russia is full of good people. I am from Texas but in the 90s when thr Soviet Union fell we had several teenage girls from Russia come to our school as exchange students just to see what America was like in Texas. They were good people and all of them were religious girls. They were shocked how welcoming we were in Texas and told us that they were told many things about America and none of it was true. I still keep up with them through Facebook and all 3 of them live in the Baltic States except 1, in St Petersburg. She had to send her husband to Poland because she doesn't want him to fight in the war. So sad, God be with you.

yea i feel u too. mongolians usually don't like harming dogs (or animals in general) and try to feed or watch out for strays if they can but it's a vast land and government doesn't have an acceptable policy regarding this matter. personally i much prefer if they roam free instead of becoming guard dogs, and for the government to use catch-spay-release strategy.

In 1930, the Soviet Union stopped Buryat migration to the Mongolian People's Republic to prevent Mongolian reunification. All leaders of Mongolia who did not fulfill Stalin's demands to perform Red Terror against Mongolians were executed, including Peljidiin Genden and Anandyn Amar. The Stalinist purges in Mongolia, which began in 1937, killed more than 30,000 people. Choibalsan died suspiciously in the Soviet Union in 1952. Comintern leader Bohumír Šmeral said, "People of Mongolia are not important, the land is important. Mongolian land is larger than England, France and Germany"

I don't know all these details of Russian history, but Russia or the USSR has always been very keen on expanding its power. Even now, many Russians still believe they are a peace-loving people and only the West is so aggressive.

That was my first insight into Mongoliean town I ever seen. Before that only documentaries of Mongolian wilderness. It gets really cold in winter in Mongolia though. Btw. that your impression of some kind of an american cowboy from that interview with the Kazakh girl in that park was really cool/funny.

Hi Sergey. Welcome to Mongolia. I’m sure Mongolians will try to help you as long as they can. But that may not be enough for your survival. You are healthy and young. It would be truly inspiring if you find a job there and earn some money. Mongolia lack of workers especially in big cities. Hope you stay healthy and good times will come and will see your family. Stay away from Vodka and bad people. Good luck.
