I like numbers so here a couple of interesting numbers: -tomatoes for 126 rubles/kg = 1,15€/kg. No idea where to get even remotely similar price in central Europe. -fresh juice from "heat and eat" section - 80 rubles = 0,73€ ... no comments - "Makfa" (a very decent brand) 450g spaghetti 45r = 0,41€ ... :O - A full "heat and eat" dish - 140r = 1,28€ ... I wanna cry - white cabbage 57,50r = 0,52€ ...T_T - unwashed carrots 53r = 0,48€ ... please stop -most expensive Pelmeni pack of 800g from "Miratorg" (expensive russian food brand) 500r = 4,56€... That's like 3 normal portions... and i repeat those are MOST expensive ones... I think I don't need to see other prices anymore. - 145,5mil people devided by 20002 supermarkets equals 7274 people/super market. Meaning for every Pyatorochka there are 7274 russians. That's only ONE supermarket chain which spreads across Russia. Other most popular are "Diksi" (around 2500 shops) and "Magnit" (27909 shops). Those bring the number down to 289people/super market. And I didn't even touch the huge shopping malls inside any bigger city and countless small and tiny shops in the majority of villages. In other words you have to be braindead when you think russians will ever experience food shortage. Another story from myself: I stayed in a far northern russian village. Since I'm a sinner I couldn't resist buying one of my most favorite treats - zefir covered in chocolate. I always bought the one which was weighted infront of me. Another day I noticed that the taste and structure changed slightly (not in bad way, it just started to taste differently). So on next occasion I asked the cashier what happened to the original one and she said that now they have different supplier from another factory. Turned out there are a handful of factories producing those sweets in western part of Russia alone, so as I assume there is a big competition going on and each factory and supplier are battling for customers to sell their product. What I want to say with this story is that you should NEVER believe, ESPECIALLY stupid claims from those who want to brainwash you. Russia is very well supllied and produces a ton of foods by its own and for its own market

No trash all over, no gangsters knocking old people out and no tents and campers crowding drug sidewalks. The USA is in trouble.

What? Nobody shoplifting, no police car parked outside, nobody holding begging signs, nobody going through trash cans or asking for gas (drug) money? Where's your litter and graffiti?Our local Walmart has a police car parked at the front door because of so many shoplifting calls. Home Depot has one of those telescoping police camera towers with flashing blue lights and everything valuable is locked up. Good video. Reminds me of early 1980s USA.

I love those pick-your-own candy sections -- for some reason they eliminated them in most American supermarkets by the 1990s due to hygiene. But it's perfectly sanitary since it's individually wrapped candies, typically, and allows the consumer to buy fewer, and to choose a custom selection. Hope to visit Russia one day, and to buy some candy from those bins.

Glad you're showing your audience what a provincial supermarket looks like, most people in the west thinks the interior of Russia it's still stuck back in the days of the Soviet Union do to constant anti-Russian propaganda in the West, they don't know Russia has come a long way since the days of the 1990's, today Russia is a modern society and it's on par with any Western European country.

I live in the South-East of the Republic of Tatarstan (a region of the Russian Federation), 1178 km from Moscow, population 12 thousand people. We have everything stable and calm, everything is in the shops, there are plenty of them. There are many local producers. Treat the bad news about Russia in the Western media critically, because, sometimes, foreigners behave funny when coming to Russia, because many media outlets constantly escalate negativity against Russia abroad, and they think that Russia is dirty, dark, everything is ruined, there is no food, drunk people go everywhere, Mafia😂, bears😂, balalaika 😂😂

я вот реально не понимаю, иностранцы (я не про Рассела) правда считают что у нас в городах, не в Москве, нечего есть? 3-4 года назад я был за полярным кругом в городе Ковдор, в этом городе половина жилых многоэтажек заброшено, но не смотря на это в нем было около 3-4 сетевых супермаркета, а разнообразие товара в этих магазинах побольше чем в моем, который всего лишь в 100 км от Москвы.

you can see tomato for about 1.3$ for kilo, thats average price, but I live in Kuban' region, I can buy fresh farmer's tomato for ~0.8$ kilo. My averagy monthly income is about 1700$ + my wife's 550$. I pay 530$ rent for 2-floor house 95 sqr meters with 3 rooms, kitchen and bathroom, there are no more any necessary expanses for me, but next week I will have 7,3% mortgage for byulding my own house. Mortgage for 30 years with monthly payment about 430$, but I hope I will close it in 5-6 years.

Unbelievable that a pack of 10 eggs is only 1.20 NZD in Russia. The same pack of eggs here in NZ cost at least $10 NZD.

The only countries that suffer greatly with huge price increases are the ones that impose sanctions! In Australia the liquor isn't on the shelves like that. Behind glass cabinets or in liquor sections which are well staffed. This store is very clean and well stocked

I understand what your subscribers meant when they asked to show stores in the depths of Russia. They mean the stores are not federal but local. In my region (Kursk 500 km to Moscow) there are 2 local chain stores - Линия (line) and Европа (Europe) and they like Pepsi and Coca-Cola fighting ! And local networks have their own special charm... You have to see this

Maybe the old stone building was an armory or guard's station? With the few windows and sturdy construction, it looks very defensive in nature. I am always impressed with the selection of foods for sale in Russian supermarkets. Looks much healthier than what is commonly available in the US. By the way, is the US the only country who sells eggs by the dozen (12)?

We like seeing the stores that are not right in Moscow as well. For those of us who have been watching your videos for awhile it's nice to see different locations. We have not gotten tired of seeing Russia yet! Are there historic sights you could visit and film for us? Are there any castles or old forts in Russia?

Those prices are crazy cheap compared to what we get here in South Africa. I just make a mental calculation of 5 Ruble to one Rand. I could live well if my pension would pay out while there.

Vladivostok is a very beautiful and clean city! There is a lot of tasty dishes of different countries. Nature is fantastic! Good trip!

Last two months the prices of the groceries were higher than our South African stores, but I see in this video things to be way cheaper.

In the early 2000s as a foreign student, we used to shop in a "magazin". Lots of "baton" and canned food.

There are such shops even in smaller cities than Ufa. In Yekaterinburg, these stores meet 100-200 meters from each other, as well as other chain stores Magnit, Verny and others less well-known.
