In this video we demonstrate how to recreate the cave base found in the Ultimate Cave Base video. This base takes 30 C4 to get to the main cupboard and is as of right now the safest way to live in Rust.
Facepunch should nerf the Cave, it's way too good. Whoever gets a cave on the first day, it's pretty much guaranteed he won't get raided till the last day or days before the wipe, and even then only someone who really hates them would actually think about raiding their cave.

+CM Gaming Hey great vid! Though almost impossible to replicate due to that triangle foundation your working on at 1:15! How did you place it been trying for 20 minutes now :( Are there any tricks to it? When I do it I can't get the 3rd triangle to place down no matter what
While this design has a nice layout if fails in other areas. For one an most important this is a fantasy build, on any populated vanilla sever you could not build this fast enough. The doors and entry wall are placed almost last? Defensively you cannot fight from the base until well after you expended unreal amounts of materials and finally placing a tower. Serious fail, you placed no build cabinets on the outside or into the design. Your initial build cabinet will not hold this entire area and you will need at least 6 to 8 additional cabinets to secure the area well enough to piss off any raiders. Anyone with access to a build sever or admin tools can build these silly bases, what players need to see is how to build under a "combative environment" with limited resources.
+Ormus n2o Lol, no dude, not for anyone. Anyone can build a cave base but this is not a good design unlees you have a five player crew or better, quarries and or three blazing large furnaces. At best the initial lay out is good fot the interior.
+Christopher Sloan you can block thr entrance off. then its allready as good as a box base. and from there on you can start improving and adding on to it. its really good
Thanks buba, I built a dozen or more cave bases on vanilla servers in the past so this is nothing too new for me. Generally I build with the idea of defense first which allows me to shoot out as well as keep people from breaching the walls. Then build cabinet multiple locations to piss off the raiders.
Your end result was kinda cool, but you took a pretty hidden cave that would have been easy to miss and built something spotable miles away. You should have placed a cubbard under your very bottom floor or a odd cranny in the cave, and covered over it.
You should use the glitch in the cave to stack the chests, it's already used and allowed in the main part of the servers. It will let you more place in the cave (for furnace or other stuff?)
What u could do is that you could link the inside cave base with the upper one by adding a second floor in the cave & then adding a door by the little hole & placing a foundation there & start to build the upper base/outside cave-base from there. That way you can move from inside to outside the cave without exposing urself.
can you do the same type of cave with tour with double doors technics and put max 3 surrounding external stone walls im on a hard server and i need something unbreakable for my team^^ nice work for all ur vids
It's your base heart. When you place one, you own a certain area. Nobody else can build or modify your base without the cupboard permission. That's why the attackers try to get the cupboard in the first place. Once they get permissions they can easily access all your base.
Lol, with basic wallstacking I built this cave in so the raiders have to break 17 walls just for the entrance. (both sides) Not count the inner parts which leads to the bottom of the cave. Thats like 6-7 more walls. Thats at least 50 C4.

thats not the proper way to fortify a side entrance now is it? i've been raided with 60 rockets in a cave 14 hours into the wipe so im never living in a cave again but if youre going for something cheap..
