You gotta wrap plastic onto it and not have it in the sun and it will work great. Also once down to bare aluminum, you gotta give them a wipe down with acetone and then quickly get powder on them. Otherwise Aluminum will quickly develop an oxide layer on the bare metal.
Oem finishes tend to be harder for it to bubble but on wheels that someone else painted the rustoleum aircraft remover bubbled up the paint all I did was power wash it off it took most of it off two passes should do the trick before I hit it with sandpaper and a new coat of primer
I was thinking of stripping wheels on a car I just bought, previous owner painted the rims black, over the silver aluminum rims. But now, I’m just gonna plasti-dip them and ship it.
