The God is pretty chill 80% of the time then every so often people remember that this man is the Father of Monsters. A lot of his children are legitimate and unironic monsters and the sea itself is full of things ready to take people to a watery grave. i actually like the idea especially since its really easy to for this version of Poseidon to say "oddy it looks you won round 1 congrats. how about starting the 2nd or do you need a breather? because i am ready willing and able and i want you at the peak when you get pushed. its not satisfying if i only make you trip. take all the time you need but... remember me. because i will watch your fall with adoration." all the while riding a horse across the water alongside the ship taunting oddy before it speeds out of reach of the sea deity. compared to other versions that people have animated are more obligation malice or a sick satisfaction this wanting a challenge version want to enjoy the game of cat and mouse and as a souls player i can actually relate because it no fun to swat a fly but besting gods and the clever now that is satisfying no matter how powerful you are

The giant hand reminds me of Godhand from Berserk, and the way the water around it collapses and destroys the ships in this scene makes me think of a blender or other crushing/grinding device. This was really powerfully drawn and animated

You have no idea how long I've been waiting for someone to make a Percy Jackson reference on a ruthlessness or get in the water animatic

Thank you! While I love most animatics of the song I've seen, I think there's a certain edge to the vocals that most animators just don't capture, aside from maybe AnniFlamma
