What happens if the connection drops for whatever reason halfway through the update? Will the machine revert to its original firmware before the update or will it be bricked?
It would just lose connection but the Versa would have the info already. I have updated in the field on a hunt a couple of times with very low cell signal, the first part of the update grabs the file. You can lose signal during it and be fine. (Just verified with Rutus)
It works in 2 steps : 1st step you are uploading the file into memory (if connection is lost, file won’t be uploaded) and necessary data will be saved on machine. 2nd step is flashing firmware, which doesn’t require connection as process is performed in detector as file is already there (if connection will be lost, machine completes update, you just don’t see „update completed” screen)
Niente perché viene prima scaricato e poi installato...nn e uno scaricare installare diretto...nn e come quando togli la corrente se stai installa do un aggiornamento al un hw
