This is one of the things I have been up to. More to come soon. Showing a quick demo of the impressive work in progress I felt was the right thing to do. I am very impressed.
I'm happy to see that they listened and are working in it. Sometimes criticism can be frustrating for manufacturers. But when they listen, Bam!!! Win win for everybody except the competition lol
Versa lives yet! As with NM iron-filter, you illustrated a deficiency, spoke up politely and rationally and things 'happened'. No acronym hat, delusion of "expert" status, or "Yes man/m'am" sychophancy. Such a pleasant relief. Nice one Mike.
Thanks for the no BS video. Thank you even more for helping to improve first the Legend & now the Versa with humble common sense input from a competent detectorist with a USA perspective.
Glad you are liking the Rutus Versa iffy 😊 so many people not even remotely giving it a chance. Rutus are a force to be reckoned with 😊💪💪💪💪 Here in the uk we love it
Really appreciate all the time and efforts putting out vids like this with all this information. Thanks again for posting and sharing your knowledge. Great vid thanks.
@@IffySignals Have you looked at the Notch on the Versa mike? As you're talking to Rutus I think this is worth mentioning. In 2.44 if you set up a notch this is then transferred to every program. ie: set up in field it will then be in beach etc. If you reset the program the notch still remains, you have to go in to the program and manually take out every number or hard reset the machine.
It’s only you could introduce minerals/Ground/soil with these tests. I believe highly mineralized ground would alter these results in the real world. Thanks for sharing
I have done both many times in the past and have learned that without a control the tests change (meaning rain, snow, heat, anything) some people may not agree with the block tests but it is a control that does not change so you can go back and see how others perform on the same tests. In ground will be - that day, those conditions. Not a good control. I have a test garden where i get allot better performance after a nice rain storm. Our largest manufacturers use these same (unmasking) tests i am showing as best case scenarios. I agree though soil will always play a part that is for certain.
Great to see as Calabash digger was showing his versa had an issue unmasking targets. Mines like yours I've not had any issues on my roman site finding targets with iron in same hole. Good machine indeed 👍 I don't have an 8" on my manticore yet so I always use use my rutus currently in heavy iron
Good video Mike, I think I might wanna try a Rutus up here in Western Massachusetts (really), lotsa targets in these old cellars still. BTW, nice Pajama pants !
hello, I must say that I love your videos, however I will just have one remark to make, it is the size of the disks 11" for the manticore and 9 for the deus2 which will inevitably return better answers to the test. Hello from France.
I did comparative testing, VERSA and EQ 800 11" coils,/I am one of the testers of RutusVERSA/and previously also ATREX/... a small 16.5 mm nickel coin under a 10.5 cm thick layer of old Imperial ceramic with two nails on the sides embedded in the ceramic in 5-6 cm high above the coins... The 10.5 cm thick layer of ceramics and the coin under it... is a difficult test... but VERSA on the latest testing software... can pass this test even with two nails on the side and give a good signal to the coin... ..EQ 800 does not even pass through a 10.5 cm thick layer of ceramics itself, and not even with nails placed 5-6 cm on the sides ..above the coin... If I can, and get permission... then officially... I will publish these tests ...
You realize that if you didn't make that video on their machine it probably would not have been changed so quickly. Just goes to show the power of the internet and videos. I think they owe you a free machine for that as their sales should increase exponentially now as it's a much better machine because of your testing and recommendations. Nokta is still the king when it comes to listening to its customers though.
Thx Steve! Appreciate it. Rutus knew after watching that they could/would improve it. I watched/laughed a little about all the dispute videos popping up, but I do not get involved. I already had the machine with the new beta, knew it was so much better and was hunting relic sites and farm fields and providing feedback. The work arounds in 2.44 to gain performance are no longer needed. Credit goes to Rutus on an impressive and speedy update. 👍 more is included in it as well. Hopefully released soon. Take care, Mike
Good video the Manticore struggled in RI on the beaches unless you run no discrimination I had a nickel on the surface with discrimination on barely hit the nickel turned it of hit it fine have to be careful using discrimination
@@IffySignals oh it’s been unbelievable up there lots of rings buddy found a platinum diamond lots of gold to and old silver I’m heading up again next Monday
dont know about the other two but as for the D2 , it`s seperation can be improved even more within the program . but im a little shocked how bad the manticore preformed .
I have spent time trying with the D2 to get around the 7-9 Id, programs using the new filters like Sensitive FT helps but you cannot go past silencer 1. Do you have any suggestions?
@@IffySignals agree with the silencer . and the ID numbers is for sure something XP needs to look at . i havent found away around it . what i ment was tweeking the machine for even better seperation and using the sound . but like you say , the numbers and the sound dosent match in a test like this .
I'm having a hard time keeping up. What did you do different on this video compared to the last Versa video where you used multi level targets that it would not hit?
Hey iffy thanks for the video. Couple questions,is depth beter now and what waterproof headphones can you plug into that machine for water hunting? Thanks
@@IffySignals I have a Vanquish 540 and would like to consider future upgrades, would the Deus 2 Or Versa be good options? (they're more buget friendly compared to the Manticore with the Deus 2 Master)
Figured Minelab wouldn’t hear it that well. The more I see these other companies doing more for there customers. The more I think I am going to stay away from Minelab. I am a Minelab guy but they don’t do enough on there updates saw it in the 3030 and now with the manticore.
@IffySignals hey I'm buying the WS6 next week. I'm new to deus. I almost exclusively freshwater hunt this huge river in near me in AZ. Tons of lost jewelry. Do you know what what would be the best program for fresh water. Not a lot of ferrous trash just pop tabs and bottle tops. I think all the companies need to make a freshwater option. Most beach settings are for salt. So you are left with park or field. But I understand machines can false in water whether it's salt or fresh. Any advice would help my man. Thanks.
@FRANKCOPE hey Frank, for fresh waters your options are wide open. If you use Sensitive FT (for the better IDs) as a base and make whatever tone options you want, Silencer 1-2, add some Bottlecap for the beach if you want. Usually BC of 2 is good.
@@FRANKCOPE WS6 for water hunting? You'll have to buy the water antenna and you'll have to run the control puck on the shaft of the machine so the antenna can plug into it. OR you have to run the antenna up to your head. You can't put the control box under water however and you can't drop the headphones in. The WS6 is really pretty crappy for water hunting.
You definitely could with any machine, the Versas improvements (coming in the next update) also provide a great ID which is another key tool to knowing a potential non ferrous.
No fuss, this is not an easy test. Just showing how they act on it. Rutus has been working on an update to improve unmasking and other things with its Versa. D2 and Manticore are great unmaskers, this Versa update shows the improvement from where it was a month ago.
@@IffySignals I contacted customer service at Rutus to see about maybe getting more of their product over her in the americas. But they have not responded as of yet
Hi, I'm looking to buy a new detector, I already have Rutus Alter 71 which I'm very happy with, but I want a multi frequency detector, in your honest opinion do you think deus 2 and Manticore are better than Versa .
I have Rutus Alter 71 and I know the advantage of dual mode, I just want the best detector between Versa , Deus 2, nox 900 or manticor. Thank you very much
Versa is up there with the Deus II in that test. But you say no discrimination? I wonder how many people are running their machines like that? I mean what is the point of having discrimination if you can't use it? If I were to run a Versa like that on the trash heap that is the beaches where I search it would be impossible to move more than a foot at a time 😂
Alla fine sti rutus fanno MD meglio dei blasoni alla metà del prezzo....oramai la tecnologia e a portata di tutti quindi si può avere il top alla metà prezzo
