Oh, finally some Draper highlights, although he didn't make it to the title of the video lol. I guess the Tennis TV RU-vid person doesn't like him. The guy hasn't lost a set yet, saved all 8 break points he faced in the three matches played, he surely deserves some attention.

Chill. The guy was ranked 50 coming into the tournament and just now reached a new high of #37. Thumbnails are reserved for top 20 players with bigger profiles and ATP titles. Draper's most famous for being talented but constantly injured as he seeks his first title. The guy threw up at AO after a match, so there's still work to do. He's had the kindest draw out of any of the QFs & has been playing on the outer courts for most of the tournament. This has been a dream run for him so far.

He’s ranked 50 mate and Ruud, Shelton, Rune and Tsitsipas are all bigger names with more fans than him atm, and will therefore bring more views. Draper is really talented tho, if he stays healthy and fit he might get to where the others are pretty soon and feature in RU-vid titles as well if that makes you happy

Didn’t know the record but thought Tsitsipas must be one of his worst matchups while watching. It’s obvious. Similar game but more spin and better angles also due to body by Tsitsipas, who has the game to clearly finish points against De Minaur quite easily where others struggle. So big cheers for De Minaur to overcome this.

Ruud & Shelton was the best match and closest contest of the day. None of the others came close. Such a high level from both. Ruud had a lot to say in the interview with Candy about how talented Shelton is and how close the match was. Followed it up with praise for Rune's game as well. The SFs are going to be juicy!

Great match for sure. Ruud's cutting edge us blunt with respect to his peak, but he still had to fend off a more consistent than usual Shelton. The latter made some questionable shot choices, and Ruud many fewer. Glad Shelton's out-the screechy 'yeahs' were getting too much!

And the fact Draper had 2:1 against him should made it even harder to beat him, bcs Tommy had more motivation to beat him. Thats how it works. So your logic "no real issue" is nonsense. The fact that Draper BAGELED Paul and also Nishioka, which is not a bad player either, is some serious domination this tournament. So I don't understand why someone should undermine his performance. Shelton needs a lot of work. He's still so raw. His footwork, point construction, shot selection, tactics etc are all lacking. It's encouraging that he's able to go so far despite having so many holes in his games. If he improves these he'll be a threat in the future.

I gotta say, Shelton's gameplay is very exciting. Good on Ruud for overcoming that challenge. And DEMON... the Tsitsipas match just highlights how things are.. DEMON is on the ascent, and Stefanos is on the descent... although I saw some signs from Tsitsipas at this tournament... I hope he gets back into the top 10.

Rune wasn't in poor form. Made the final in Adelaide (?) warmp up tournament, lost to an inspired and surprising talented Cazaux in a tight match. Did go out too early in Rotterdam indeed. Still, he wasn't in a poor form before he reunited.

I don't really understand what has happened to Stefanos this past year or two. He was consistently ranked in the top 5 for like a couple years and now his level is dropping off. I swear he is capable of playing some God-like tennis but then his level will just randomly drop off mid match.

His backhand has massively regressed in the last couple of seasons. It used to be a solid, strong shot up to his 2021 French Open final, but then came the elbow surgery, shoulder problems, back pain etc., and it has become an extreme weakness. He's making a huge number of errors off that wing, some of his backhands in the match were off not by centimeters, but by meters. He also changed his serve technique, and it's not as reliable either.

She explains things like "that was a good service game" after you've just watched - wait for it - a good service game. This is not "explanation." Duh is right.
