Nicely filmed! Should you return again someday, there's lots of good guide books that provide extensive information about the endless number of hikes around Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Kootenay and so on. As locals, a longstanding reliable guide book for us is THE CANADIAN ROCKIES TRAIL GUIDE by Brian Patton and Bart Robinson. You can usually purchase it in shops along Banff Ave if you haven't picked up a guide book prior to arriving in the area. Not to be sassy, but remember these areas are not amusement parks but vast national parks with thousands of trails and a huge wildlife population who pass by all the signed areas (21:40) throughout the day and night . So... they can't really leave pamphlets all over the place for the convenience of tourists. If hiking is your main objective when visiting this area, it's worthwhile to do your research before you arrive and to keep your guide book with you while out exploring. Cheers : )

Miss Dashwood! Thank you for sharing those great resources! We'll definitely check them out next time we return. I was just trying to highlight the difference between the US national parks and Canadian National parks. When you go to a US National Park they provide you with that information and have rangers there that can help you plan which hikes to do, etc. I was just familiar with that resource so didn't think to do too much research before. I now know it's best to be prepared before going to a Canadian national park. Nothing wrong with it - just different than our parks system. Glad you enjoyed the video!

I must rant. Your channel seems awesome, as do you guys, let's be friends😀 I love Banff too, and found your channel this way... however, you got some things annoyingly wrong. Canada's parks do provide all info, maps, and attractions at the visitor / info center, downtown amidst all the people and bling. So yes, Banff is Canada's 1st national park and has history, much of which involves railroad barons and luxury travelers from all decades past and present. However, there's plenty of nature, mountains, trails, 3 ski resorts, and wildlife trucking thru town. They own the place, trust me. The idea... is that in Banff, the best of man meets the best of nature. Information on this is available, and you seemed to find many of the attractions like the river walk. Was there signage? I think there was signage. Btw, did you visit the hot springs? That's one of the main attractions, and the reason for founding the place...I didn't notice it in the video. Gotta come back now lol. Also... it's annoyingly busy and bumping in Banff, both summer and winter. World class dude, and the peeps they flock. You can't blame them but yeah, it cramps everyone's vacation a bit. Just gotta rejoice in your mutual love for Banff. A few good tips I've heard... is that you can buy your park pass downtown at the visitor center, and bypass the main gate lines. If you're skiing, Sunshine village will be mental especially on weekends with half of Calgary there. Go to Louise, or Norquay instead, unless you can steer them skis. Anyway, great video...I'm fully engaged with yer content I guess. Ah, cute Americans lol...let's be friends, and come back to Canada / Banff sometime. It's worth a second helping. But chill out on those sparklers, for the 4th of July? Burning down a Unesco site in another country to celebrate? Lol fack... I can see you on the road, but I don't see any nearby water. Flames dripping everywhere, smh. Canada is windy yo... can you imagine how fast you'd have to drive back to the border? Lol, no really... All in.. great video, you guys seem cool. Let's be friends😀 Sadly I'm no longer there, but Banff is surely the best place ever. Thanks for the video!

You can buy a book on Banff (www.amazon.com/Best-Hikes-Banff-National-Park/dp/1926983394/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=hiking+in+banff&qid=1591159041&sr=8-1). Alternatively, you can find a lot on the internet ( www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/ab/banff/activ/randonee-hiking/banff#Sulphur).

Hi, Loved the video, We were in Canada for 2 weeks. We went on a road trip from 30th September - 14th October 2019. We started at Vancouver 1 night, Whistler 2 nights, Kamloops 1 night, Jasper 3 nights, Banff 4 nights, Revelstoke 2 nights, Calgary 1 night. Had a totally amazing time and the weather was amazing including a couple of feet of snow in banff for a couple of days. We did not have any issues getting anywhere. We felt in some cases we had the roads to ourselves. Got to lake Louise and Moraine lake in really bad weather. Went up Banff Gondola and it was totally clear and spectacular with the snow capped mountains. Was not overcrouded and got parked everywhere we went. I would highly recommend going this time of year to avoid the crouds. Only issue is you cannot get on some of the hikes you would like to. Working on a video with pictures to show everybody. Most beautiful place ever ever seen and we are from Scotland and its stunning too.

When you all talk about being in Heaven on your hike at Lake Louise, How long do you figure it took you to hike to that point? Would you consider the hike intermediate or leaning towards a difficult level?
@EatSeeRV
@EatSeeRV 4 года назад
Definitely an intermediate hike, as it's uphill. People of all ages and experience were up there though. It took us around 4 hours round trip I believe? - Liz

👍👍👍, question: how do you pull that big trailer? Did you have any training or you just learned on the go? How about a video on towing that sucker, handling, braking, etc. 😀 (in case you run out of video material, haha), probably not likely.
@EatSeeRV
@EatSeeRV 5 лет назад
Dennis does all the driving and had ZERO towing experience before. There was definitely a learning curve, but he's a pro now. Changing Lanes actually has a great video about towing a big trailer. Theirs is even bigger than ours. I'd suggest taking a look at the one! - Liz
