Tahoe beaches are full of fungus, and algea, very crowded camping, and plenty of rude people.Traffic is horrendous, and also very expensive for food. Just had a drowning at Nevada beach.
Drownings happen all over. We're from Florida and could say lots of negative things about what can happen and does happen. But it doesn't mean it's not beautiful and full of positives too.
I have camped at Nevada Beach for 5 summers by myself until 2021. The the beach/water access is glorious. Your lucky to get a site & believe me it’s no fun trying! I really miss my years there.. unless I can get an RV rental at a decent price it has become too hard for me to tent camp there😢. The swimming at that beach is the most refreshing I’ve ever had and the occasional Black Bear encounter is real awakening! As in the middle of the night!🐻
Nice seeing how you’re both enjoying the simple pleasures in life. Good for you. The Bible is the most interesting book in the world. Nothing compares. Everything that you want to read in a non-fiction book... history, romance, crime, etc...
Great vid! I'm somewhat of a local (hour and a half drive away). When I go to Tahoe to camp, my favorite spot is Zephyr Cove. The campground has good sized sites, full hookups available, and no more than a couple hundred yard walk across the highway to the beach. There's a restaurant, bar, and beach volleyball pits there. Feels a little more remote there than South Lake Tahoe. I'm an ATVer too (RZR) and I love all the riding opportunity in the area. If you haven't already, I'd recommend going south of Carson City on 395 to the Bridgeport area. Just east of Bridgeport, along the CA/NV border, and a little farther east into Nevada, the trails and dirt roads out there are endless and top notch!
Tahoe is the best. Sister lives in south lake x43 years. Spent birthday month there last year. (60) I go from Ohio as often as I can. You can camp at Nov beach 😯? Did you boondock there? Baldwin is sisters fave. Watching makes my ❤️🥰
Just a different perspective for all of you visiting my home: Every community surrounding Tahoe is in such close proximity to the lake itself that most trash left by tourists will end up deposited in the lake by runoff either in its original form, as fine sediment particles, or as microplastics. Sediment pollution has contributed to 2/3 of the decline in Tahoe's water clarity, which has been a pressing environmental issue since the 90s. Additionally, Tahoe is home to a TON of wildlife, including bears. They are not a threat to you unless you try to feed them, leave food in an unlocked car, or do not dispose of food properly (in bear boxes ONLY!). As the community continues to develop and climate change continues to intensify winter conditions, bears have increasingly limited food supply and territory and are becoming more prevalent in towns. If you end up getting another bear killed because you were irresponsible or uneducated, then you will have done a disgrace to our community and will no longer be welcome. Please educate yourself and respect our community and the environment. TAHOE IS NOT AN AMUSEMENT PARK AND EVEN IF IT'S NOT YOUR HOME, YOU STILL HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT IT. :) be decent please! it belongs to us first.
Wow, definitely need to add Lake Tahoe to my future travels. We just got a travel trailer this summer and I can't get enough!! The coves look so pretty there.
That place looks amazing. I loved Lake Tahoe when I visit a few years back, now I want to make it a point to like go every summer. Oh that book Verity is amazing, all her books are. Read Layla next if you haven't yet
@@EatSeeRV Have lived in South Shore since 1978. You can get snowed on any month of the year. It doesn't happen very often in the late spring, summer or early fall but it has happened. Glad you enjoyed our part of the planet.
I think we are #4. Lake Tahoe looked like fun. “Feeling really sunburned.” Yeah, you go to the nude beach and partake, a little sun can go a long way. Happy belated birthday Liz! Christine and I were trying to remember……32?
Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 Stepping up your thumbnail game👍. I have never been on the Nevada side of the lake, now I will have to check it out. Definitely a thumbs up for the video 👍
We have just been breaking our backs trying to find a campsite, wishing there was something like Arvie and lo and behold, here it is. Gave it a quick test, if you are tight enough with them to give feedback, most users would like more filterability of campsites, for example, private and public, as well as genuine availability search instead of having to drill down into the pin for each campground to check availability even though you've already entered dates you're looking for once.
Thank you! Hope it helps and I will let them know. We've snagged several campgrounds including more beachfront ones in Oregon thanks to them. It definitely works!
Why only a dog beach and never a cat beach?????? Loved watching yall enjoy 4wheelers! Selling ours was one of the harder things to let go for full time RV life, still no regrets. Beautifully edited video!!
Went to that area about 20 years ago. Had terrible weather and really didn't enjoy ourselves at all. Watching your video makes me want to go back and give it another looky-see. What month were you there bc the weather looks perfect. We didn't camp the first time but this time I'd love to! ❤️ Thx for another great video.
You had some awesome weather and saw some great beaches! Nice video. Reading on a beach is my favorite day, as well. I’m reading Family Trust by Kathy Wang right now, but my favorite recent read is Sea of Tranquility. Have you read any Emily St. John Mandel? I love her creativity.
Was curious which beach you were at that had wildflowers and was a little less populated? Sorry couldnt understand you...did you say King beach? Thanks!
Love your videos, however this one was a bit of a downer because of your lack of knowledge regarding 4-wheelers and Tahoe. The paths you went on were designed for folks to get to explore The precious Tahoe are on a quad in a responsible way. Watching you guys go off the paths and drive all over the plant life and crash into trees was really painful. Even more painful was watching you fist bump the kid on the quad doing donuts which completely destroys the paths. Us responsible 4 wheeler riders deeply frown on all of this kind of behavior that is so destructive to the delicate Tahoe basin. Not meant to make you feel bad, but to open your eyes to seeing this in a different way so that others may continue to use the paths as they were meant to.
Appreciated that insight! Being our first time we weren't aware of this from that perspective but 100 understand that and see the importance of staying on trail!
if you want to go to Tahoe do these- Don't leave your trash at the beach, Pick up your dog's shit, If you see some trash pick it up, Respect others experience no loud music, Don't be rude this is peoples home not yours, Don't start fires, DO NOT FEED ANIMALS, Spend all your money and go home quietly.
Happy Birthday. I love Tahoe but I live 1.5 hours away. A real beach is in Maui, HI where I have a condo. Napili Shores Resort Unit E244. I know you like the beach in MX. Come to Maui near Napili Beach, Kapalua Beach or Kannapali Beach and get a better beach experience. I will give you some free days if you come here.
Happy birthday Liz🎁🎂🍰💐 What a beautiful place to be on such a special occasion, it is a joy to always wacth your videos and to see you both happy on an awesome life on the road 🚒
