I grew up camping with my parents and own 3 campers and rv's myself now and I have seen it all. My dad made every mistake you could make and I have carried on the tradition. One thing I learned, never laugh at another's misfortune, because you are next.

As an RV owner it made me so sad till I saw that the motorhome was driving back out with it's engine not destroyed. Next time they should get a bird or a fish.......

Years ago I starting setting my emergency brake when I launch my boat. I'm usually by myself. Once in a while I forget to set it, but after seeing this, that won't happen anymore. I'm glad no one was hurt and hopefully not much damage was done. Great job by the people who were so willing to help.

i'm just glad the dog was ok. my dog did they same thing but i got lucky she only backed mine into a 12 foot ditch and it was dry so i got to drive it out. thank god for 4 wheel drive

Both..my 99 Winnebago (F53 chassis) and 05 Itasca (GM W22 workhorse chassis) class "A" coaches have the brake lockout (put foot on brake to disengage lock on shifter) so what happened here?

@@beetlejuiceflorida Nope sorry brother, no commercial here. You give us too much credit. There are lots of videos coming out that will show more and more. Our YT channel isn't even monitored and FB doesn't pay for clicks. Understand how that might look like it, but our founder and two of our guys were just at the right place and FLW Tour Pro Chuck Stratton had our product on board to record his practice day of fishing. Just glad no one or animal was hurt!

When you have a dog in a vehicle never leave it running or leave the keys in it . The pup may lock you out or put it in gear .

We had a sweet little Yorkie poo that got all excited in our suburban at the gas station and locked us out on a Sunday morning. We had to wait over two hours for a locksmith to get out of church and respond. Our little dog was precious but we were pretty upset with her that morning.

I always give the steering wheel a turn or two when I am on the ramp. that way if the trans slips out of park or the e brake can not hold, the truck will turn as it rolls down, catch a curb, dock, etc.

My question is , how did the dog depress the brake to remove it from park ? Vehicles are equipped with a (BTSI) brake transmission shifter interlock that requires the brakes to be applied to remove from park and the brake lights were eliminated. Just curious.

I’m looking at the video and if it were in park who was holding the break. Break lights are on the hole time until the back starts going under then they go out then he jumps in and steps on break , the lights then come back on. Am I missing something here.

I've heard those RVs have a switch to turn off the engine. Also rumour has it that they have an emergency brake.

Every automatic trans I've ever known wont shift unless your foot is on the brake. Maybe his cat was lying on the brake pedal

The rv was already running, could see the exhaust bubbling off the left side. That’s a low end A class RV with the engine in the front, didn’t go deep enough to put the engines air intake at risk. When the exhaust is underwater I wouldn’t want to shut down the engine anyways

Worked on RVs for decades. This is one trick I have not seen before. Why are the brake lights on when the brakes are not applied? That coach has mega water damage. I did see a man at the dump station yank the handle and the hose popped off spewing sewage in a 3" diameter. Always check clamps.

If i were to buy a large RV it would have air brakes, being myself a concrete mixer driver i know the advantages of having spring brakes. But then again 8f i had to use it on a boat ramp i would mount an auxiliary hitch ball on the front of the RV. Seen too many vehicles have the back end floated and they lose the parking brake.

Abradolf Lincler A pusher has the engine in the back, it would have been completely underwater, and that would have destroyed the engine, even at an idle.
