Victoria, feed Craig some of the halibut and tell him it’s chicken. All of the halibut you had hanging except for the large one are considered chickens. Since it’s new to you, trim off any of the red bloodlines off of your fillets and it’ll taste much better. Thanks for posting and congrats on your fishing.
That cold swim was really good for you. Love the way Craig slipped in 😂and Victoria, being a loving wife, followed and went in too.❤❤❤ You both are great.
Craig reminds me of my husband sometimes and it's so fun to watch you guys competing and teasing! Always laughing while hanging out! THanks for making such great content!
Now I know why we’re so entertained by your videos. Don’t stop the verses. You two have been a joy to watch and now it’s even more special. Your bravery and dedication to our Lord it’s amazing. Keep up the amazing journey.
You guys are awesome... I thoroughly enjoy watching y'alls travels. My wife and I rented a 33' class C for vacation last year and fell in love with the RV life, sold our house, bought a new truck, and 5th wheel RV. Ready for a different life from the mundane 😊 Thanks for all the good info and gorgeous views.
That was a great video!! I enjoyed all of it and found myself talking to you and laughing in some places. So enjoyable! I can’t wait for more. Thank you so much! Craig is so funny. lol.
And she makes tortillas from scratch that alone would convert me to a fish eater, Great win Victoria, Craig uses sarcasm to mask your Victories, lol. Thanks for Sharing guys your epic adventures.
Bake it in the oven. Pan lined with aluminum foil, Slice and sauté an onion, spread the sautéd onion in a pan, salt & pepper the fish, place halibut on top of the onions, spread tzatziki over top of fish, sprinkle panko over top, bake in oven at 350 for 30 - 50 minutes (until fish flakes). Bottle of white wine and enjoy
Halibut is very yummy. Craig you don't know what your missing! Valdez is so pretty, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful journey. Dinner looked very yummy Victoria 😋 .... well my guess is.....Victoria won the fishing contest.....cutest couple on RU-vid
Victoria, tell Craig to man up and try the fish! I thought it was strange that y’all split up from Joesph and Kaylen but I’m glad y’all did that way I boot to see two different places and both were cool! The shout outs are great, y’all keep the adventures going get back with your friends! Great video!
Your buddies at open road definitely missed out!!! I watched their video and it was cool seeing them walking around on a glacier, but wholly cow your scenery alone beat them out!! Enjoying your adventures, both of you!!
I was lucky enough to go to Alaska in 1976, the year of our Bicentennial. Beautiful country! Hoping to get my RV up there some day. Enjoy your journey, you'll remember it the rest of your lives.
Those are called honey do lists 😂Victoria’s wearing my hoodie. Mmmm looks so tasty. Wow the mountains are so beautiful and majestic. Sorry I’m just a below average semi retired and still working man, however I put the lord first and am happy to be a semi part of your community. Enjoy watching and do want to purchase some merchandise. Thanks for sharing ❤
Nice job on the mango salsa and tortillas! Looked fantastic! The scenery of Alaska looks beautiful- didn’t think I was interested in trekking to Alaska, but you might be changing my mind.
Welcome to our home town of Valdez! We have been living in Valdez for many years. Hope y’all enjoyed all the fun activities our little town offers! This was a really awesome review video, and to see the town from this perspective!
The paper towel holder pin works as a roller usually. Looked like a lot of fun. If you soak the halibut in light salt water in the fridge at least a couple hours then use some lemon and or lime when you cook it Craig might be ok to try it, Halibut is not to strong flavored. Stay safe and healthy.
I can't believe somebody from FL. doesn't like fish that halibut is some of the best fish you can eat. We always made Valdez our last place when we leave Alaska that way we would be there when the salmon arrived. We would get catch about 50lbs and canned it for later on sure is good. Be safe in your travels
The salmon run used to go through August. We went to Alaska for 5 weeks and needed up in the airport for 6 days waiting for a flight that wasn’t full of dead fish in ice chests. 😂😂😂 I will drive next time we go to Alaska for the summer. Keep in mind, it was almost 20 years ago when we went.
Yes Yes Yes. A Valtera valve is a must. Our black tank valve busted in open position passing through Texas. Because of valtera valve already in place we could continue trip until convenient to repair the black tank cable running to shutoff valve.
Craig has the same attitude about fish as the hunting guides that accompanied Lewis and Clark. They wouldn’t eat fish and when they got to the Pacific Ocean where the Salmon were running, they traded with the local Indians and bought their dogs to eat (red meat) crazy.
What a great place to go fishing! One thing I learned about freezing my fresh fish is put them in water then freeze them in the bags. They last longer and taste like you just caught them out of the freezer!
You don’t have to do that if you vacuum seal. Only if you put them in ziplocks. The water only serves to remove air getting to the fish which isn’t needed since vacuum sealing removes the air 👍
Great natural beauty. Very interesting, I feel for Victoria I am the only on that love fish in my family and do the cooking but never really cook fish. Alaska looks so great but so expensive.
So let's set things straight with Halibut. It doesn't taste fishy like Trout, Salmon, or Catfish, although Catfish is really good.l😅 He's missing out. I think it's going to take at least a year for you to eat all of that halibut.
Halibut tacos. Halibut curry. Halibut Olympia. You can boil the halibut in sprite and when it comes to the top it is ready, then drizzle it with lemon butter. Poor man's lobster.
Alaska is a Beautiful Place. I haven't been Fishing there Looks Like You enjoyed Yourselves. And You where Blessed with an Awesome Amount of Fish. Love this Video You Both are a Blessing. God Be With You.
Before IFQ's, we could buy halibut for 90 cents a pound ( gutted w/ head on ) in Anchorage. Now, it's just a whole lot less expensive just to buy and eat the bait.....
My wife and I were in Valdez the last week of July, Salmon were running, went on Stan Steven's Mears Glacier cruise, saw sea lions, sea otters, Orcas, but the G l acier was not calving, enjoyed Valdez,
Me and my daughter did a Halibut charter out of Seward when we were up there in June. Of course my daughter out fished everyone for Halibut but I had the most species including a King Salmon. We brought our own vacuum sealer and like y’all had a freezer full including the 8 Red Salmon we caught from shore in. Seward.
Looks delish Victoria. Greg try the halibut. You may be surprised. Hey You Guys that was the best cold plunge I've ever witnessed. Way to go. That must of been close to freezing. Victoria what a trooper ... No fomo in your tribe. Way to go. If I would have won I would have definitely gone in with the spouse for moral support & fomo of course.
Craig, you've got to start eating fish! I've finally gotten my wife from Indiana who was scared-to-death to eat fish to love Salmon, Grouper, Talapia, Cod, and Mahi Mahi. We're headed to Alaska like you in a couple of years and I'm sure I'll be able to get her to eat Rock Fish and Halibut.
6 months to get thru that fish Victoria! That’s some darn good eating. That’s why it’s so expensive! One of the best. I like the Saki salmon too though very good.
Well this is on my husband's bucket list Alaska when he retires. But first Craig made sure to talk my husband into the Gen Y hitch. Here we sit while they are installing it. We follow you two every week. Enjoy your trip.
Excellent video! Entertaining and informative! About walking on spring snowdrifts with water flowing underneath... Went through one time. My feet didn't reach bottom, I was hung up with my arms bridging the hole. I was able to pull myself out and crawl away. Went back a few days later. If I hadn't hung up at the surface, if I'd gone down to the bottom, my head would have been three or four feet below the surface. Really scary.
Here in northern california i fish at the safeway lake .you two are a blast . You are both very lucky that you can travel .keep up the traveling and the awesome videos .Denis from Santa Rosa Ca
Good job. I’d go in to support too. lol. MAYBE. It’s so beautiful up there. I love the fish too Craig is missing out. It’s been really hot down here in Florida. Keep up the fun. Jeff n Karen.
Great video! You guys have shown us the fun side of traveling to Alaska!! Victoria I hope you enjoy the fruits of your fishing labor!! Fresh halibut is yummy!! Also, I am appreciating the verses you post at the close of your videos!
You may have had Rock fish and didn't know it. Red Rock and Green Rock names are usually used in the business end. After markups we get fancy and call them red snapper and green snapper.
😂 Craig I did the same thing once with our black tank valve. In my defense the light on our switch was not working and I didn’t realize it was open when we picked it up from the dealer. Fortunately I realized this prior to the toilet being used.
Rosie and I love Valdez! Last time we ate at a place called the spud joint or something like that. When we've been there the fishing was great. We stayed across from Valdez at Alisson Point. We saw and filmed Grizzly bears, eagle, otters, sealions and lots of fish. Burlington Bill busking on the road and here on you tube.
