A quick and dirty fix for a failed RV propane solenoid.
RV with underbody propane tanks probably have a solenoid that actuates a valve that turns on & off the propane. The solenoid holds open a spring-loaded propane valve. If the solenoid fails, your propane will shut off.
In this video, I'll show how a magnet can be used to hold open the propane valve until the solenoid is replaced.
Check to make sure there is +12 volts at the solenoid. If not, you have an electrical problem. If you have +12 volts at the solenoid, the solenoid should be warm. If it's not, and/or if it doesn't 'clunk' when power is supplied or removed, the solenoid may have failed.
