Our June 2018 Trip to Ocracoke Island NC in our Thor Vegas. We camped at Teeter’s campground . Kayaked out at Hatteres ferry point and slayed the clams!
Ocracoke is a unincorporated town located at the southern end of Ocracoke Island and is a treasue to visit and enjoy!

Had a wonderful time on Ocracoke Island back in the mid-70s .Last time I was there sure it's changed. We were just a bunch of wild kids with four wheel drive vehicles ragtops roll bars. Ranger on the island said they were dredging let us ride all over the place had a ball. Also great surf fishing. I'm old and slow now me and the wife have a Thor axis.

We love it there, been going also since the mid 70's. We stay at Teeter's Camp ground couple times a year. Will be back next month. Still great place to visit and take your RV!

We are loving it! We take a trip once a month in it, and used it to run from hurricane. Looking at upgrading to a 40 ft RV and retiring in one!

How far out did you guys to clam fish?

They are everywhere, all kinds of side roads once you are outside Ocracoke city, you can wade out 20 feet and start finding them. In this video, couple hundred feet from the point the beds are nice, just want to be pass the grass line and inside the solid sand bars. If you have a boat, you can go over to portsmith island, really really easy to clam there! I have couple other videos of clamming in my list that shows map. It is lot of fun! You need a permit to drive off highway also. Get it in Ocracoke by the ferry! Hope that helps!
