ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oRv1NAdTUU8.html&ab_channel=Lightning-in-my-Hand this is actually how it ended... you know Emerald used her useless illusion for once and gave us this
I thought that was a cool little arc for her. She’s finally achieved her dream of the Schnee family Semblance, and it helped her kick ass at Beacon and the Lancer fight. But she kept relying on the Armor Gigas as a Trump card to solve things.
The fights are cool and all, but I, like most people, completely forgot about the Atlas Pilot that helped Weiss escape, only for him to die, then we realize Weiss has to go back, and never gets mentioned again. Also gun chucks are cool.
Wouldn't he have died regardless? He was going to make that delivery whether Weiss was on that ship or not so he was lucky that he had a huntress on the ship to attempt to fight all those lancers. Maybe he survived who knows. Ima say he did since Weiss did as well.
@@mekingtiger9095 it's much easier to duck then it is to weave, so no not really, also he did a runner up stab and ran forward with the sword, had he swung he would have needed time to do so, making his hit even more useless
@@mekingtiger9095 yeah problem, she's a huntress who's way of training is to be attacked by grim, she also has huntsman training and can block bullets with ease, surprise doesn't mean much at this point, but.go ahead, try again
from what i understood they've essentially written Sun out of the series until further notice, partially because of the failed bumblebee ship they threw at us, and partially because they didn't wanna animate his fight scenes
Skrub Knight Wow that’s a really dumb reason to kick him off. To be honest, while I think bumblebee is cute, I think Sun and Blake have more chemistry. Bumblebee is more like another bffs sister kind of relationship where they always have each other’s back. I just really hope they bring him back and all the other characters like Neptune, Coco, and Velvet. They have so much potential.
At 32:14 Cinders aura is clearly still covering her grimm arm. Why didn't the team show off that aura and grimm can't be one by making it stop just above the joining section?
28:22 Mastered Ultra Instinct. Also I’m pretty mad that falling thousands of feet while frozen in ice didn’t kill Cinder but some silly-ass arrow killed Pyrrha.
@Books and Tv Geek Cinder's aura was down too, imagine if we see Cinder fall (the verb) to her death and then, back in Haven we see the maiden powers fly off to god knows where, and, when Emerald sees this she goes crazy and makes the Salem illusion so they can escape.
@@Hearty1100 she fell into water so the ice broke her fall I think and she has that whole for magic thing but she did barely survived but Pyrrha had a shot to the chest maybe heart but no one wanted cinder to survive but look on the bright side we never would’ve gotten watts roasting cinder if she died

Honestly only battle I really liked was like the 3 second spare between sun and Ilya. I felt for once it wasn’t just flashing lights but actually focus on flow and movement. It reminded me more of monty work but also had its own unique style that I wished lasted longer.
I love the fight with Blake, Sun and Adam. Adam’s very good at manipulating people to do what he wants, but if they just refuse to do it then he’s in a bit of bind. It’s also kinda funny to think of him wandering around in the maze waiting for Sun and Blake only to realize they didn’t even bother coming after him
27:16 I CANT BE THE ONLY OME WHO HEARS HAZEL SAY 'OH MY GOD' WHEN NORA THROWS HIM OVER please I heard it and Im wheezing from how his voice sounded Probably everyione had noticed that, I just saw it now and I wanna make someone laugh of they hadnt heard it
I didn't like the long period of episodes that didn't have fights. Maybe RT did that because the Character shorts had fights but idk. They even broke the first episode fight tradition. A very much missed opportunity for a fight was Emerald vs the Bandits. It would've set up her loyalty to Cinder more by putting her in a solo fight scene. They teased it but it never even happened. Also wish RT realized Sun was in Haven and could've called his team for more backup. That would've been a nice surprise. ALSO Wish the Sun vs Adam fight was a LITTLE bit longer with some more choreography. The fight didn't have to be super long. Its just Sun heard all these stores about Adam and barely got the chance to fight him. Negatives aside, I find it really refreshing that this is the first Raven fight we ever seen and she completely bodied Cinder. It was nice to finally see what her fighting style was like. And on top of that she was a Maiden. The Weiss vs Lancers fight was fun and I liked how bright it was. Yang vs Bandits was cool because it was her first real fight after the Fall of Beacon. Blake vs Ilia was choreographed really well. Seeing Ghira transform was cool also.
Yeah for what little the volume gave in fights they made up for in quality of the fights and girah is a freaking beast damn no wonder Blake is cool as hell (Edit :sun moved back to vacuo his team is from shade but the rest solid)
@Books and Tv Geek that's what i thought when i first watched avatar, she just seemed to be an asshole for the sake of it, and no real reason to do the things she does so i hated her character. but trust me, azula is a pretty deep villian, you just REALLY have to look between the lines. only on the surface level she is a flat villian. cinder on the other hand...
Tbh, I think the fight with Vernal and Weiss was justified if you think about it. Everyone had time to train. Time to fight. Weiss meanwhile was stuck in atlas and all she practiced was summoning. You could tell in the plane she wasn't at her full strength either, which is why she had to go for summoning there too.
these fight scenes are exciting and for me, as an animation student, they are very useful to use as study of camera angles, special effects and character movements!
*bro looking at this now and what she said that it’s aura- aura can’t protect your arm it’s grim* 29:46 *I’m like…holy shit so if she keeps on getting Salem nerves she gonna get killed BY AURA THIS MAKE PERFECT IDEA ziti beat her*
I’m a little late but yeah. Jaune got hit straight on by the giant mech later on too. While simultaneously supply Nora with aura to survive. What was Cinder going do? Stab and burn him for a entire hour until he runs out of aura? I think he would definitely get knocked around, but others would interfere before that happens. All that talk about how he was willing to die, but still knowing full well that his aura wasn’t going to break any time soon.
Can we all talk about how stupid it was for Illia to turn off the lights, it was literally established volume one that all faunus have night vision. Even with Illia turning her skin black Blake should have had no problem seeing her along with the gold of her belts.
I thought some of the fights this season were good, great even, but I feel like others were lacking ( Looking at you battles of Haven) but were not even bad imo for the most part. The only fight I HATED with a passion was Weiss VS. Vernal, they did Weiss SO, SO!!! wrong there. But the fights in these later season have something I like that brings a bit of realism to the fight which is when they grab each others hands or weapons for a second or so and try to disarm them or throw them off balance. My example is when Illia and Blake fight, you can see at 12:15 they grab each other which brings a sense of realism in a sense that it is likely that people would do that in a fight in real life even if they have a weapon theirs gonna be grabbing and holding which hasn't really happened in early volumes and I appreciate that it is happening now because it does not add to much realism where it takes the "RWBY" out of the fights, but it is enough to make it seem not totally scripted and shows that fights get MESSY!!!
Weiss vs Lancers and Yang vs Bandits were excellent. You can tell a fight is gonna be good when they sync up the scoring to the fighting (they do so again later with Yang + Blake vs Adam) instead of just putting any ol background music.
That wasnt the issue, Ilia was camouflaging in the darkness, even with night vision she wouldn’t be able to see her, she needed to make Illia’s dark camo out of place
Tbh, I don't get why Cinder vs Raven is so well-liked, coz, to me, it only looks like lots of flashy lights and very little technical skill shown. Compared to Qrow, Clover and Robyn vs Tyrian in V7, for example, it, quite frankly, sucked.
@@Truthaehnchen Yeah to be honest I felt like that too the part where they made big swords was pretty stupid but when I said this I ment they were the only ones that I actually enjoyed I said the rest were pretty good as in average
Problem was the jumping about in 5, we were used to Oums way, make a fight then use the camera to make it look good, not use the camera then animate it
I am a tad disappointed..They left out one of the most major fights of the season between Blake, Yang, and Adam. Which is the fight that caused yang to lose her arm
Time Stamps: 0:00 Weiss & Pilot Vs Grimm Lancer 4:56 Yang Vs Bandits 7:09 Blake, Sun & Blake's Parents Vs White Fang 16:53 Cinder Vs Jaune, Ruby Vs Emerald, Yang Vs Mercury, Qrow Vs Raven, Weiss Vs Vernal, Nora & Ren Vs Hazel and Oscar/Ozpin Vs Leo 22:51 Oscar Vs Hazel 26:23 Ren & Nora Vs Hazel Round 2 28:20 Blake Vs Adam 29:13 Cinder Vs Raven 33:10 Blake & Sun Vs Adam 33:49 Ruby, Weiss & Blake Vs Hazel, Emerald & Mercury
Weiss and Vernal got reflexes but bot enough to dodge a bullet, a pillar, and walk around the barrier although I think Vernal intentionally did it slowly Weiss really got the disadvantage of the summoner and caster class who somehow got max high dexterity in video games Sun’s fight is amazing though Oscar’s and Raven’s fighting is real good too, they and Hazel are the real goats
You can pretty much tell when Gary's budget and crew fuckery for Gen LOCK really kicks in, the first couple of fights are pretty damn good, really nice solo showings for Weiss and Yang and generally better than V4 fights where they were clearly getting used to doing them in Maya.. then they just become largely Meh and worse than V4s fights until Raven vs Cinder outside of a handful of moments (like Sun still looks super cool when he fights with his crazy ass gunchucks but he doesn't really get to fight much though to be fair it's always been for the same reason, his weapons are apparently some of the hardest to animate even back in the poser era)
