RWBY AMV: "Welly Boots" 

The fact that the song is about of coping the lost of parent and clinging to hope, even in harsh reality fits to Ruby so much.

Ah yes, another beautiful entry in ThusKindlySheScatters’ repertoire of amazing AMVs that features a great song I’ve never heard before, delightfully impactful scene transitions, and a perfect choice of clips demonstrating a complete understanding of the series from back-to-front. “Believer” left me in awe, “Welly Boots” left me in tears. You are great at what you do, and I am always delighted whenever I see a new upload from you. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

I didn't expect this to hit as hard as it did, but it did and now I'm sobbing because I LOVE IT!!

"You were supposed to be my light. And keep me safe against them all. How could you leave me here?" God that fits perfectly, I'm not surprised you chose this song that fragment reminded me of "Red like Roses II" so much. I also loved 3:15, callback to her conversation with Ozpin when she's having doubts? Fall of Beacon as she talks about Penny? Her message to Remnant, where she's so sure of who she is and so determined paired with when she's not anymore. Just perfection.

The way I audibly gasped when I saw this in my notifications after getting home from work. I’m so glad I listened to this beforehand, so I could anticipate the epic guitar introduction at 1:38. You did such a good job with every scene in this, of course, but I think my absolute favorite was at 4:46-5:01. Just, the placement, that fade in and out between Summer and Crescent Rose, the “scarlet welly boots” while silhouetted by glowing red light. Absolute master stroke, I have to say. I’m sure I’ll be watching this for the next week, at least.

This is excellent! I love the use of The Amazing Devil, fantastic band. The way you use the Ever After-and the restraint it must've taken not to touch it until the third act of the video-was brilliant. Loved it.

This song always makes more more emotional than I anticipate. Poor Ruby...

well i'll be dammned someone actually did it....i have been waiting for someone to do SOME kind of ruby/summer video with this song since before volume 9 came out and after the finale that need increased. thank you for the food 🙏

Seriously you are an artist. One day I may be able to express how much your videos mean to me. Rwby helped me in many ways. You captured rwbys magic almost better than the show did.

I think this might be my favorite AMV of yours to date, the song choice is such a perfect fit for Ruby and Summer, the editing on the scenes, the scene choice, and the timing of when to use certain clips was excellent, and just overall its incredibly impactful, you did absolutely PHENOMENAL on this one. not afraid to admit I was starting to tear up during this one

MY EMOTIONS!!!! That song was absolutely perfect, and as usual, you knocked it out the park with your edits and the way you showed Ruby's story. AMVs will get us through the hiatus, they better greenlight V10. The justice league movie was actually really good, Jaune and Jess definitely stole the show

I've never heard this song before so I was amazed at how well it fit the build up to the finale of volume 9. Although I shouldn't be surprised because you always seem to find the right song for your videos. I don't know how you always find the right clips to match the lyrics. It must take you ages. And they are always perfectly timed! Yet another excellent video to keep the fandom going. Roll on volume 10! (goes off to purchase the JL cross-over)

Can we get a Jaune focused AMV for Sword in the Stone by Passenger covering scenes with all his main ships(Pyrrha,Ruby,Weiss and Jess)? It’s a personal favourite song of mine that I think pairs with Jaune well. There was another suggestion I had but I have forgotten it lol. As always though, brilliant AMV as always. You can tell the effort put into your AMVS and that effort brings a high quality and really good product. You don’t just put a clip over the music.

Better part of two weeks and I've seen this at least twice a day since release. This will probably replace some of the actual soundtrack for daily comfort listens. Incredible song choice, and incredible talent making the video. I love this.

By far the best V9 AMV I've seen so far. At first this song seemed... different, but man on a second listen it's so incredibly perfect for the lens through which you're telling the RWBY story. I personally love your AMVs where you tell the entire portion of a particular part of RWBY, like Karma for Jaune and JNPR, but I think this is your best so far (and can make a good case for being one of your best, period). And that doesn't even take into account the consistently impressive editing skills you bring to every video, the best in the entire RWBY AMV community. Incredible work, I'll be watching this one over and over for months, and I can't wait to see what else you do with V9!

Really well done and volume 9 is one of those rare times a piece of media was so much better then the stupid high hype it go before release... Vol 9 is my favorite season of a show every now as it helped me work though some problems I'm having... And unlike vol 8 it did not feel rushed but just condisted... it's such a good season in all the ways it could be... I just hope the rest of RWBY can be this good or better and I hope RT can sort out it's own issues.

I've never heard this song before but it fits so well with Ruby! This was an amazing edit! I have a suggestion for a song that might fit well with one of the rwby characters, 'It's Been a Long, Long Time' by Kitty Kallen!

WOW!

This is a perfect song to represent Ruby and Summer's relationship. What a wonderful look into Ruby's journey throughout the entire series. All of the clips were so well chosen. Some stand outs were "pretending not to see your ghost" and it's Ruby looking into the mirror, which reflects her vision of Summer perfectly. "Even though you haven't got a clue!" Eventually fading into a fading vision of Salem. (also double symbolic of "standing up" for Raven, even though Ruby doesn't know a thing about her.) "You were supposed to be my light! And keep me safe against them all!" Is this not how Ruby emblazoned this idea of Summer as a perfect model to encapsulate? Were not her Silver Eyes, this tremendous gift of her mother's supposed to guard her? The introduction of the Ever After with the refrain of "Strong enough to do this..." which beautifully captures that Ruby was not able to do this by herself. On her own, bearing all burdens onto her shoulders, she only had the strength to let her (literal and metaphorical) demons eat her alive.
