So cool that you incorpated Weiss's V5 trailer into the episode. It contects so well to ending when Weiss learns that Winter isn't Mistral anymore and not gonna save her.

I noticed that you cut Revan out, which is actually smart, it gave a more air of mystery and possible more buildup about her return and meeting with Yang. As well, implies that it was Vernal and her goons that took Weiss away. Honestly, loved how the chapter focused solely on Weiss and her POV. Kudos to you, man! 👑❄

*YOU CUT THE BEST LINE SMH* ngl when it cut to her opening a dust cart and popping it in I thought that it was setting up even better timing to cut back to "Actually? Yes." but alas, RIP iconic quote.

Having the Weiss trailer integrated into an episode was an amazing touch!

10:52 not gonna lie, that Smash Cut (or is it a Juxtaposition cut?). That was perfect. It really does wonders, showing the passage of time, how Weiss goes from being Free to being a Prisoner. And sums up the overall Narrative of this episode. Keep up the Good work :) Though I wouldn’t be shocked if some parts get rewritten for this Volume!

Interesting decision to include the character short as part of the episode. I think it works well! I know your Volume 5 redux is well and done already, but just a tip for the future: be careful with the music. I understand from experience that it's tricky to do an edit like this and not have the pre-exisiting score turn into a bit of a muddled mess, but it _is_ noticeable. To a similar end, it bears keeping in mind that you don't _have_ to have music as connective tissue. The piano at 4:47 works to smooth the transition from the character short alongside the sound design, but then runs up directly against the episode score at 5:12. Don't be afraid to let it breathe - especially after subbing in a big song like "Path To Isolation" with the knowledge that there's another coming in "This Life Is Mine", less can definitely be more.

Personally, I love being able to really see this series through someone else’s eyes. Stories will always be interpreted and absorbed differently by every single viewer. Your takes of what doesn’t work and what does have may be different from myself, but your effort and work to show your thoughts in this adaptation of the show is inspiring! Can’t wait to see it all!

Awesome episode! The moment where the instruments cut out to "I AM NOT YOUR PET!" and the falling summon was always one of the best moments of the volume, and I like how you've focused it all on Weiss. One thing I'd add is some kind of musical sting at the ending so the transition to credits isn't quite so...not abrupt, but, understated.

i really like the choice of making this ep entirely focused on Weiss even though i prefer seeing a ton of stuff happen in one ep... it works better like this n its the most you can do with purely re-editing, so its a shame i find the chased-by-grimm-bees sequence boring (and part of that might be cuz ive seen this volume so many damn times now) but thats a problem for the source material to not handle... some of the cuts you use are really smart and i had no clue theyd work so well. like, the fact you *can* just progress the story as easy as that makes me mad!

IT'S HERE! AGAIN!

The cut from Weiss (crashed) to Weiss (captured) was class, but also a double edged sword. On the one hand, it's visually interesting and withholds Raven's reveal until later. On the other, it builds up Vernal in a way that would ultimately feel disappointing later for a first-time viewer in my opinion. While she's meant to be a decoy anyway (and that's kind of her whole point), I would probably want more out of her than what the Volume would end up delivering.

This feels a bit more boomerang-storytelling-ish, let's see if you can pull it off with the coming episodes. I feel mixed about it when RT has done boomerang like storytelling in RWBY, sometimes it works and sonmetimes it just feels too disjointed or like episodes are unfocused.
